Just saw Wicked again last weekend. Fantastic show, no doubt. But, confirmed, The Mighty Nein is more embedded in my psyche than Oz. And I was secretly disappointed when they didn't sing your lyrics. Some green girl stories are more tragic than other green girl stories. Sam's treatment of this backstory was masterful and your work captures it perfectly. Thanks for being part of the lore. I always love your videos.

@@morganbarnham5427 It's one of the problems I have with Volo's Guide to Monsters. Everything it says about the monster races feels really racist. Like I know they aren't real races but the way Volos talks about them feels like the way racists talk about African American, or natives, or Muslim people. And the guide on how to play one even has a section about why they'd adventure where it goes "now no actual monster character would want to adventure so clearly your weird to do stuff that the normal races do. Here are some options, you weren't raised by your race cause if you were you would be a savage. Or you were a normal person transformed into a monster, after all normal monsters can't be normal people that's just ridiculous." Admittedly it didn't say exactly that, but that was the vibe the book was giving off about all the monster races.

I've seen the band across the nose on that character before, and I couldn't figure out why it was there beyond asthetics. It never occurred to me it might be an attempt at protection from the raw edge of the ceramic mask. I like it. This was well written, and the cosplay was amazing!

I am so happy that you posted this video. Not only is Nott probably my favorite character in critical role at the moment ( I’m still catching up ), but you put so much time and effort into this video, and I can really tell. I was afraid that you wouldn’t be posting this video anytime soon after you posted about how views have been so low in January. With Sam Riegal, as amazing a role player/actor he is, playing Nott and Veth, I sometimes forget how deep and painful the character’s story is. A mother and wife with low self-esteem, taken from her family and reincarnated into a goblin for two years and forced to be their and street urchin. Until she meets our favorite dirty hobo wizard.

Very well written, it was definitely show, don’t tell, but told just enough for an outsider to understand the relevant plot/backstory from just this song!
