This is Nova’s tribute to her family and she is introducing us to each member. Just 2 days after recording the song, Nova got a call that her grandmother, who had Parkinson’s, had died of a heart attack. Just a week after grandma’s death, they made this video. The emotional pain is real and easily felt. She made this video before the rona shutdown, over a year ago, and has been sitting on it. I’m so glad she finally released it. #hangovergang for Nova 🤘🏻🤘🏿🤘🏼🤘🏽
@@lolah.o.g1125 I don’t know if it was her dad. She posted a picture off her fam and it’s mom, dad, brother & Nova. Song says the dad that died had 2 boys and 2 girls. #HOG 4 Life ✌🏽
@@MargauxDaughtry we are talking about the man with 2 girls and 2 boys and always made noise in the garage. After his death, the wife missed that annoying sound. Her grandfather would not have been that man because he did not have the same level of relationship to the ice. #HOG ✌🏽
YOU are reactors! we come here TO LISTEN TO YOUR COMMENTS ABOUT THE SONG, THE REFLECTIONS YOU HAVE.. YES! I don't get why people complain about that. it's why you link the ORIGINAL in the description if they want to listen to the full song uninterrupted! YOU ARE totally right in that! another awesome reaction!
What I got from this song is that to have empathy and understanding about people’s sacrifices and unachieved goals in life because of unforeseen situations or out comes. To me it hits hard because I always try to understand people’s choices on what they have been through and why they make the choices that they make.
I have all the reactors on RU-vid y'all two I would have to say are my favorite, y'all actually interact with the followers of your channel, and I respect the hell out of that
These 2 together are geniuses. Love the reaction. This song is actually about her family. Her grandmother recently suffered a heart attack and passed away
Each person she's talking about in each verse is a direct family members true story. Her dad gave up his music career to raise her because he became a single father. Given Nova's talent, it could have been a big career but he sacrificed it for her and so she wrote this song for him when he passed away and before she finished filming it, her grandmother died of parkinson's
It’s awesome seeing Nova get time to shine as well as Tom, this song tugs at the heart strings for real. You should definitely check out No Response from Tom, my favorite song of his just for the flow alone.
I personally like how you do your reaction videos. That's why I keep coming back to you guys. There's plenty of reactors on youtube. Y'all are doing it right. Keep doing you. Let the haters hate. If they just want to hear the song or watch the video they should go do that then. Love y'all.
All reactionary video producers get the same complaints. Blows my mind! I am litterly watching these vids FOR THE REACTION. Stop adressing haters, just fuels their ignorance. Keep rocking fam!
So I read another comment on another reaction and they explained it so well. I'm not sure if this is the true story but once I read it, its all I can feel and see when I hear the song. I want to make sure to say that none of this is known as fact. It is just a layout for the story, that I read in another comment, that helped me follow along. They explained it like this.... So, the first gentleman she speaks about is her uncle. He was bullied in school and called retarded, maybe he had a learning disability? He settled for factory work, grew up to be 50 but mentally was 12. Next was her mom who felt trapped and weak and just longed to connect to her husband again. Then she speaks of her father who was a rock star but gave up his dreams to raise her and their family. She then speaks of her grandmother who had Parkinson's and how hard it was to accept the parts Parkinson's stole from her. Next she speaks of her grandfather who got a girl pregnant before finishing school. How he ignored that he had a baby girl until her mother stopped trying. How on his deathbed he wished for the daughter he never knew. Now the next part I have heard 2 ways but idk.... 1st, was that its her grandfather who gets into a car crash (doesn't really make sense to me since he is visually old in the video, and this verse is speaking of a mom being sick of the noise from what I would assume would be 4 younger kids and her husband) 2nd, is that it's about her brother and his family, but let it be known that I do not know if Novas brother has passed or not. I do not claim that any of this is fact. Then sadly we move on to the funeral scene. I believe this is to symbolize her grandmothers funeral. Tragically Novas grandmother passed away, I believe around a yr ago. . I feel this from the scene when the grandmother joins the grandfather (who on his deathbed wished for the daughter he never knew) on the other side of the window and was looking in on the family. As if the family was saying goodbye and the grandmother crosses over and joined the grandfather on the other side. I wanna say again, that none of this is fact. This is just a layout I read in another comment that just made sense to me. It helped me follow along. Tragically Novas grandmother passed away, I believe around a yr ago. She wrote this song for her grandmother and made this video a week after her grandmas funeral. I can understand why she sat on this video so long before releasing it. This song has hit me so hard in the gut. I have listened countless times and still cry like a baby every time I hear it. Such amazing work
What gets me, is when reactors pause, just to tell me what an artist said in a line or bar I have heard 1,000 times lol. You guys actually speak ABOUT what was said, and that is a legit conversation. I don't get the "you pause too much" complaint AT ALL! The original video is there to be seen any time. I want YOUR reaction.
maybe next time just an idea like that , if youre not sure what is happening in the video or what the message is or who its talking about or what ,maybe google it to know , and get a better reaction , especially tracks emotionally charged like these , its good to know the backstory x
Song will bring you to tears if you pay attention to the video. As far as pausing goes anyone who hates reactors pausing I suggest you check out skeem. Lol. Cam and Kay speak your minds. Always like your insight when I watch your reactions.
At the beginning the kid that went to the warehouse is her grandfather and his kids were her mom in the song the rockstar was her dad and the grandma had parkinson's when the grandma and grandpa were looking through the window it implies their still watching over the family even in death
Nova wrote this about her family after her father died, right before shooting the video her gr died. This happened last year. She's been holding onto this video for awhile.
I think grandpa is also the child in the beginning notice how when they show the child she is wearing black. And when she refers to get grandfather later she refers to how he " got busy acting dumb because he didnt know what to do ". And in the beginning the boy was 50 but only 12. Her videos are so awesome.
I was kinda thinking that was about Tom. I’ve heard him say before that kids called him stupid and retarded in school and he’s sitting on the couch next to her where the little boy was sitting.
Someone died and they’re at a funeral and she’s crying - maybe eating fried chicken instead of watching the video might have been more beneficial? How can either of you have missed this song?- a man might miss sensitive emotional things - coz well - man - sure / but Kayla how? If the song wasn’t evident in itself the video was clear clarification The man with the guitar was her dad The cheating woman was her mum Her grandmother had Parkinson’s Her grandad died having not been in his daughters life etc It’s all quite clear
