Nova Scotia Travel Vlog! Acadian Step Dancing, Kitchen Party & A Visit to Big Spruce Brewing!

This travel vlog documents three magical evenings in Nova Scotia, full of live music, good people, local craft beer and good times!! On evening one, we visit a Kitchen Party at Doryman Pub, complete with Gaelic sing-a-longs and Acadian line dancing; on evening two, we catch Nova Scotia musician Keith Mullins at the makeshift, temporary venue at Cape Breton Inn, following a recent fire that burned the main building to the ground; evening three includes a visit to the beautiful Big Spruce Brewing for some amazing local craft beer and folk songs! I hope you enjoy this taste of live music and the feel of nights out in the Nova Scotia summer!

This travel vlog consists of 3 evenings in Nova Scotia - each evening with a different performance of local live music, of course accompanied by shenanigans and local craft brews!!! Oh, and I do a little singing myself in this one!! :) Thank you to Keith Mullins who invited me up to sing a song with him, he was amazing!!! Hope you guys enjoy!!

Reminded me a whole lot of my favorite Irish pubs. That is the reason I love Irish pubs is cause of the music, dancing, and audience participation. They are so fun!!

What a nice musical journey in a far away land! Kind of reminded me of that movie The Wicker Man (original 1973 version) with the folkish music and sing along pubs. Loved the Disney songs and Sheryl Crow tune!

Nova Scotia = Nova Scottish! Music, riverdance, beer, fun and good times... Yeah the vid was a bit of all, it didnt had a line, if you got me in this! I know for sure you can handle my comment and understand it, right! :) but in all, it is a fun vid, you had a great time you see that. heck yeah!!!!! and a singing Jackie, AWESOME!!! what else to write, hummm, stay enthused Jackie, keep on learning, get adventures and above all stay the awesome person you are.... THIS IS AN AWESOME VLOG! now this is what I'm talking ahhBOOT! In the beginning.. This reminds me of some old country line dancing like I used to do back n the day at the Dallas Bull! . I would have loved to have participated. @4:20 I enjoyed the B roll and your excellent MUSIC selection here. @5:07 I love that song! @5:22 one of the best Disney songs ever made! CHEERS!!!! @7:11... I Love a Music Vlog. I also love 'Who Knows What'. Mission very accomplished. Probably my favorite Sheryl Crow song, and well sung I should say. I love the sound of crackling fire. Whiskey in the Jar' is another one of my favorites. SOUNDS like you had a fun time for sure.

We know Keith well! Looks like you hit lots of the great spots Cape Breton has to offer. You were here during KitchenFest. Once covid is contained, you'll have to come for Celtic Colours in October, it's the most amazing celtic/folk music festival! Love Big Spruce craft beer, especially Silver Tart. We live on the other side of the island from where you visited. Cheers!

Thanks, Craig! Actually, it was kind of a past life lol! I used to sing in bands and toured the USA a few times in an indie band! I was also in chorus and singing for most of my school years (not saying I was super great at it lol, but I did it). Now it's just a fun thing for fun times, I really love singing!

Thanks! Yea a little background for ya :) after the band i went to grad school and earned a masters degree. Nowadays I work full time all week and adventure full time all weekend!! Of course trips like this require more vacation days than just a weekend, but I work hard and earn those vacation days!
