The respect between the big 3 is absolutely unbelievable. In my opinion it doesn't matter deciding who is the best, they're all astonishing tennis players in their own right. Not just the 3 greatest tennis players but arguably 3 of the best sports men / athletes ever. We are all so lucky to have witnessed this era 👍
@@stefanhell3521 because few years ago when Federer was single holder of all records it wasn't a discussion "hey let enjoy for the 3 guys' nooo it was more Federer the GOAT. Come on now....lets not protect him.
I'm afraid I will never find Djokovic a genuine person. I try to like him then something else controversial happens which makes me go back to my original thoughts about him. I am seldom wrong when I judge people
Novak is a genuine person but his public speaking always seems a little bit PR-tuned. Nothing wrong with that; his job is to play tennis, not to give speeches.
The best moment is when Federer went to hug him and told him something and Djokovic broke down. It’s amazing to see how their relationship evolved over the years.
@@hayasyed4617 tv coverage only showed it for like one second, immediately after Ellie Goulding finished her performance. In Federer’s recent documentary about his retirement, it’s shown more clearly and Federer commentates about how he said something very personal to Novak which made Novak break down. Later in the documentary it also shows Novak coming back to the locker room right after the retirement ceremony and being in tears.
Love them both! Love the Big Three!! Yes, it was a great, emotional moment!! Thanks Federer for everything! You will always be one of the most loved GOATs!
Murray has 3 Slams like Wawrinka. He doesn't belong to the smae table as the Big 3 (20+ Slams). Murray doesn't even have 8+ Slams, so he isn't even Agassi, Borg or Sampras tier.
@@jameswalker6864Murray has been ranked consistently in the top 4 alongside them more pretty much a decade, not to mention he makes the deep runs on all surfaces to play them usually in semis and finals. Wawrinka doesn’t have the same consistency and he started to rise up the ranks super late compared to the four
@@ccrncugaa What? I'm not talking about anything to do with their matches. I just know that Roger will pay tribute to Novak when he retires. They have great respect for each other.
Federer ,nadal and djokovic were a special breed of players never to be seen again and we still fight over them.Novak is the last one left ,enjoy the memories as they last once he retires,it will be the officially the end of an era.Wish people were respectful to all three of them at the same time and not the other way around
Disagree, Sinner and Alcaraz can definitely reach that level. And there will be players who smash all of the Big 3 records too. Sports evolves with time.
It's great to see the respect that another great player, probably one of the 3 greatest players that ever played it, just doesn't get better than that .kudos to this legend, too
Did Roger F. and Djokovic good guys i like they they smile. Nice to see roger coming back after many years after is retirement. Love you all guys. Both are very good players, roger is legend in tennis one day Djokovic sir’s will be legend. Little ❤from Malaysia
Federer is the GOAT all tho i respect djokovic but fed is 7 years older than djok if he was in his prime still djok wouldn't be to cope with Federer neither would Nadal all 3 are tremendous but fed is the best my personal opinion.
@@sasook yeah it’s called nostalgia bias. If you don’t have the integrity to call the statistically best player ever the GOAT, then the word have no meaning. Federer can still be your favorite though. As with me. But to take that away from Nole just ain’t right, with all his records. It’s not even a discussion anymore. People need to get their emotion out of these discussions.
@@scottstorchfan It really comes down to what criteria you use. If your criteria is pure numbers, sure that’s one thing. But on the other hand, numbers without context are useless and/or misleading. There are also other factors people like to add in, such as the impact on the sport, the influence, stuff like that. And lastly, whether or not that player would have succeeded in any era or not, since the title is supposed to be about the greatest of _all_ time. It’s not so simple, & denigrating it to integrity vs. the lack thereof is disingenuous.
@@geederer Federer was beating Sampras in the later matches they played. Djokovic is statistically the most successful player. I'd regard him as the more mentally tough and disciplined player. But i'd regard Federer as technically the better tennis player...just as i'd regard Prost as a technically better driver compared to Senna who was the better racer. Only time will tell if Djokovic can match or beat Federer's Wimbledon record of 8 titles.
I think the thing with people like Djokovic and Kyrgios etc is that they are two different people on and off the court. The person that is on the court shouting, bracking a racket is not the same when the match is over so I do believe that Novak here is being sincere
Everyone saying how fake he is and just wants to be liked ect, he has thrown away pretty much guaranteed grand slams and took an absolute beating pr and rep wise to stand up for what he believes in 😂😂
Think it’s a far fetch to say ‘pretty much guaranteed slams’ for the US Open. He has won 3 so far and been knocked out of the majority of the US Opens he played in. A very good record nonetheless, but far from invincible like his AO record.
@@A_friendwithoutbenefits US Open 2022 was a 50/50 but he would've almost certainly won AO 2022 if he got to participate. But even as a Djokovic fan I'm glad Rafa got to win it and at least got to be the player with the most slams for a year.
@@haiby06I mean Djokovic got lucky with Rafa's worst year else even he wouldn't have won a slam at the French until much much later. So these things happen.
Fans of all players can be toxic. I've seen toxicity from Roger, Rafa and Novak supporters. Let's not pretend it's only Novak's fans. A comment like this where we see a special moment, and the first thing you think of is some toxic Novak fans says a lot and where your energy is. Do your part and focus on the positives. Coming from a Novak fan, much love dude (or dudette) but let's remember toxicity comes from all angles.
Dude Federer was termed greatest in 2006-07 itself and he had the record to his name till 2021, which is like 15 years and more, and mostly people still consider Federer as the GOAT.
I felt sad watching Novak in the final the other day, not because he was some weak loser or something, I just felt sad that the greatest era is almost over, and a new hero’s are needed. Hope Novak gets back to full fitness as he has life in him yet, Alcaraz at weekend was going to demolish any one. He was in that mood. This speech is epic. Class is permanent and these guys have it in spades
Not a fan of Novak but just this once I will commend him, tennis will be NOTHING without the Big Three. One down, one soon to go next year, and the last may not have that many years left. RIP TENNIS
