I love that they decided to make a dedicated keyboard. I am sure this is a huge step foreward into the creative process of making beats. I currently use M-Audio Oxygen61(former model) between Garageband, Cubase LE and Ableton Lite and evaluating to go full FL Studio as the preferred DAW, especially for its lifetime updates and now with this awesome FL-keys it looks like a good investment. Do what u need or want bro. I think FL is the best. Don’t see why anyone would ever waste money on any other daw. When FL studio is a one time purchase, does everything perfect. People brag about this or that daw. And how good they are. But I don’t see much music or anything that’s popping coming out of the talk. So who cares what daw ur on? Just use one and move on w ur life and musical talent/career. Blessings brotha. ☮️

As someone who has both versions of the FLKey controllers, I have to say they are phenomenal to use. Was a pain to set up initially because my computer didn't automatically load in the scripts, but once I got those loaded it just worked. I agree with a lot of people when they say you don't have to mess with the mouse and keyboard nearly as much with these controllers.

Well, as a FL Producer for some years now, this DEFINITELY is a great start. The AKAI Fire just didn't cut it with it's 0 velocity response pads. This is SO much better!!!

@@MikioTeshinga I didn't buy the Akai Fire... Instead, my purchases have been a M-Audio Oxygen Pro 61 since I get a LOT of controls for FL. Also the faders are EXTREMELY useful rather than the knobs. I did lose some deeper integration, like being able to use the step sequencer from the keyboard and easy integration with performance mode, but I rarely use those. I also bought a Native Instruments M32 since I use a lot of Kontakt Libraries.

I love the channel rack control feature, I have my sounds mapped to the pads of my Arturia Keylab MKII so I know how powerful this will be for people. I do wish they would have made a 49 key version instead, and I would have preferred a 4x4 pad layout to match the FPC and other drum VST's. But this is a step in the right direction and I'd strongly consider picking this up if you use FL.

im using the Arturia Keylab Essential 61 for FL at the moment, but i might buy the FLKey mini for when im on the go with my laptop, a 61 key keyboard isnt that portable!

This seems like a great keyboard for a Fl Studio user like me, but I prefer bigger keyboards. Personally, I use a 49 key right now, and I'm happy with the size. Would be nice if novation made a 49 key version of it.

Honestly if I'm moving to different studios a 37 key controller is perfect but, in a fixed studio I agree a 49 key is perfect. Only 1 octave transpose is even possible / capable at that point so it's right in the sweet spot 💯👌🏼

Novation could have released a Launchkey MK3 with FL Studio support from the start (as a standalone mode or standalone firmware release), but there's no money to be made from that.

I have a few keyboards (all thanks to this channel) including the Komplete M32, Arturia Minilab and the iRig 37, but with me getting more familiar with FL Studio, especially using it for hardstyle production, I had to pull the trigger on the 25 key version.

My go to before* FL Keys was the akai mpk mini (my mpk mk2 Broke this year though) I also have the mini lab and keystep 37, but just bought the FLkey mini and it's FLS integration is great. I heard the nectar keyboard line is the main go to midi controllers brand as their FLS integration was notable

This is kind of disappointing to me already owning their 37 key controller. After going to their website and looking and the comparison chart, I would have to buy this one just to use it with FL. The fix should be updatable by a firmware update but 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

Alongside FLkey, we have also released a new FL Studio integration for Launchkey MK3, which is included in FL Studio 20.9.2. The new integration lets you trigger notes from the drum pads and control mixer volume, pan and transport in FL Studio but the deepest integration with FL Studio is exclusive to FLkey.

It happens. Boss released my more preferred guitar amp (Nextone Special) not long after I bought my Katana Artist. And Pioneer brought out the DJM-750mkII not long after I bought my DJM-750. So you're not alone. You make do and eventually you maybe get the next model or the one after... Personally I still have my Katana Artist & DJM-750 at the moment... :)
