I've had 2 Ultranova's, I sold the first one regrettably and bought my second one soon after. I've had this unit 7 years or so and the rotary encoders have started exhibiting erratic behavior! Today it is being collected and sent to Novation to diagnose. Its way out of warranty and is now a discontinued product. I absolutely love this synth, its been at the heart of my productions and it is this synth that really helped me to understand synthesis at a basic-intermediate level. IMO this is a hugely underrated synth, 3 Osc, 6 envelopes, 3 LFO's, 20 slot mod matrix, vocoder and much more. With the know how I believe you could create pretty much any sound you can imagine with this synth. Nice video Roberto, if Novation manage to repair my UN I shall be buying the patch pack. Such a fantastic little synth and the vocoder is great (particularly when using it live). These patches are really well programmed, you've done a fantastic job.

As a rock keyboardist about 80% of what I do is piano, EP and Hammond. The other 20% mainly pads and analog style leads. At the moment I am using my ancient Korg M1for that but it is just so heavy to cart around and set up for the little use I give it. I am considering a smaller and shorter keyboard for that, andthe Ultranova is one of the very few that has full sized keys. All the other demos show the more useless side of the instrument, abusing with the arpeggiator and drenching the sounds in effects. This demo is absolutely spectacular. The sounds are exactly the type I am looking for and the playing clearly showcases the instrument in a real setting. So this one video has put the Ultranova very high on my list (for the day I can recover my economy after the Covid crisis... sigh...)
Thank you, I as a keyboardist know well what sounds a live keyboardplayer needs, that's why I can't stand the arpeggi effects and the like, to play you need pads, leads and all those sounds that we do not find in digital plans, that is why my passion to program only playable sounds

You made me believe in this synth more. I just got it and not too impressed by the way it sounds. Even listening to most demos. You make it sound decent
Complimenti....programmazione super... i suoni che dovrebbero già trovarsi caricati in ogni synth....invece sono sempre pieni zeppi di suoni inutili al 90%
