Regardless of how they previously sounded, treating this as a new experience, she has an incredible voice and control and range. Any band would be honored to have a vocalist like this in their band.
i don’t know why people keep complaining about the new novelists. i mean, bro just listen their new song and try to appreciate it. it’s not easy for a band to introduce a new vocals and making a new song with. keep going guys, the new track is fire 🔥
It's gotta be difficult from going to female while only having male vocals throughout their career. For me, this song doesn't quite hit, but I'm curious about what they have in store.
People have a hard time with change. You've got to let them get used to the change or let them gtfo, move on, and stfu. I enjoyed the song and I'm excited to see what else they've got.
Camille's voice and melodies are so poppy that it feels fresh in combination with the 'metalcore' sound. I'm very curious to see where Novelists go from here!
If anyone has any doubts about Camille, I just watched her absolutely crush tonight, opening for ERRA. Absolutely phenomenal performer, and her harsh vocals have only improved since this one-take. Let's see what she does on a studio LP. I'm sold though, easily.
I love how Novelists keep on evolving throughout all the people negatively criticizing them for no valid reason! Keep going and I'm looking forward to a new album. ❤
Well they went from unique, non generic and elegant sounding to trying to sound like other bands and judging by all the negative feedback, fans of this band want the band they originally liked back.
@@matthewfreeman33 100% I listened to their latest release and they are basically Spiritbox 2.0 Camille is really really really good though. She's like a version of Courtney Leplante with a vocal range that is more mid and high focussed and weaker in the growls. (there is no beating Courtney in that department!) So no shade on Camille. The Matteo era of Novelists was much better. He was exceptional and the song writing was good.
second person who clearly doesn't listen to spiritbox if they think this sounds anything like them. maybe if spiritbox made a pop album@@Rose.Of.Hizaki
@@brianemerich2524 Not this particular song in question but their other songs that feature this singer do. They bare some similarities to 'Circle With Me' despite holding on to some of the original Novelists guitar work. Its still a far cry from their original sound which was overall more unique
No matter the changes, Novelists instrumentalists are the main reason to keep listening. This really is a new experience and I am looking forward to Camille's dynamics for other songs. More please!!
This is crazy incredible. Novelists is quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. I didn’t even know there was any criticism surrounding the vocalist change. Absolute PEAK musicianship, this is what it’s about. One of the only bands I’ve heard continuously evolve throughout their discography. Amazing work, guys, and welcome, Camille! Excited to see what the future holds for y’all!
No matter how many changes happened !! This band is an addiction!!! Superior guitars Monster vocals and compositions!! "The Feel" They never failed and they never will!!!
this song is really good on its own but it should not be the main theme of their work. it's been a while since I don't heard anything like "Modern Slave" I hope they don't throw away the progressive side of their music. I believe that if they focus on their work they could still write something progressive and yet catchy. they have very talented band members now and I know they can do it. if they wanted to of course.
I love the new style musically. Camille is cute, has a catchy voice and brings great vibes to the band. There's still a bit to go in her vocal development but there's a lot of potential here! Keep it up :)
my honest to god favorite part of this new pat the band is taking, is Camille has been with novelists before for C'est La Vie. and honestly as soon as I saw that she was the new singer I was SO excited, you do such an amazing job singing and I can't wait to see what else unfolds form this. love you guys! keep kicking ass!
Okay, I might've called this a Camp Rock song in the original video... but the new singer seems nice and is unquestionably talented. Wish you guys the best. I'll keep an open mind.
Im excited to hear what more she can do. Ill admit, After watching courtney do these video this gal has a TON to live up to. I felt she didnt really give the dirty part the proper oooomph. On record it sounds great!
