I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. This is one of your best ones I think! Lots of very interesting information on a lot of subjects. You are very observant of things in nature and in our infrastructure as well. So many vlogs out there simply exclaim the beauty of something but give no information as to origins, types of minerals , trees, weather, etc. and create more questions than answers. California allows studded tires anywhere in the state from November-April. Lots of people don't realize that we get a lot of snow here in parts of the state. Its cool you pointed that out

In Manitoba Canada, studded tires can be used between October 1st and April 30th.

I heard that Ice Road Truckers use to travel from Winnipeg and travel through Manitoba Canada and they used chains to keep themselves from sliding around om the ice roads. The last episode was on November 9th, 2017.

Interesting about the pine sap! I'll take a closer look at my 48 yr old (?) white pine. It had dropped hundreds of pine cones a year ago, during drought, and dropped bushels of needles in the yard. Great video, interesting info re studded tires/laws. MpLs, city speeD limiT twenty miles an hour. 🙄 Trolls did you a favor! 😂

Northern Minnesotan here, can't run studs, and chain laws are just stupid when you read about it. Chains are ok to have, but no contact from anything other then rubber may make contact with the road. So that chain on the tire better NOT touch any pavement. And happy large chicken day Post10.

Vermont and New Hampshire have granite aggregate at their disposal to use in the production asphalt which makes it incredibly durable. Maine is a fairly poor state and as such can't afford to repave their roads as often thus the tighter restrictions on studded tires. I live in Alaska and have been running studless snow tires for 20 years with great success.🙂

Michigan's roads need to be replaced often. I think a lower grade of asphalt is used.

Why would anyone want studded tires unless on a car? A 4WD pickup doesn't really benefit from them. They're noisy too. I think you make a bigger deal out of it that it really is.

It certainly does benefit on the icy roads, there's a lot of roads I won't be able to go down in the winter unless I even chained up

@@post10Vlogs With a car, maybe but with a 4WD truck and decent tires, the sun is so high in the sky in May that the ice is all punky/slushy that the studs make little difference no matter how far north. The hard ice disappears by then. Not trying to be be a troll just saying what I've observed. We used to "plow" our logging roads by towing a large log on chains on at an angle behind the pickup truck. It didn't clear the snow, it just moved most of it off to the side. When March came around, the logging was over until the mud was gone.

@@nhzxboi no I completely understand what you're saying, I personally think studded tires do help but it is minimal you are right about that. That's why I carry tire chains because even with my heavy truck it was still slipping in the snow
