Back before the Korean state made a huge push to promote kbeauty overseas, jbeauty was actually more popular. I think the reason kbeauty took off is because of the way the state invested in specifically overseas markets/products (similar to kpop). The Japanese beauty market is pretty domestic and not as interested in the international landscape.
Was gonna say the same thing. Japan is happy to offer products to their domestic market without caring for international expansion (at least not to the degree of S. Korea)
I'm loving the Stratia Lipid Gold Eye Cream! I was so disappointed when I tried the regular Lipid Gold and it broke me out. Gave this eye cream a shot, and happy to say it hasn't broken me out! It really helps with the red sensitive skin I get around my eyes from tretinoin use. Helps act as a barrier to prevent tretinoin from irritating that area.
Love that I saw this video on the exact same day when I used my Lipid Gold Eye Cream for the first time😂. Like it so far, excited to see what it does for my dark underye
I used to live in Japan and speak Japanese so have used and more familiar with J Beauty which I used for many years, but now prefer K-Beauty. Skincare and the steps are more simple in Japan and there is a lot of all in one creams and products, I find K Beauty is more effective but has more steps and is more time consuming.
My favourite November product is the Isntree Yam Root Milk Toner, bought as per your recommendation 😊. I don't always like milky toners (didn't enjoy the Oat-in-silk one), but this one is just perfection: hydrating, hugging and no stickiness. I love when your videos have a mental self-care end ❤❤❤
My winter face and neck saver is Paula's Choice Resist Intensive Repair Cream. The 5th ingredient is petrolatum, so it helps the moisture lock that you speak of. I use it twice a day and it works well, for me, under sunscreen and foundation. I use .07% tretinoin every night, so moisturizer is a must for my skin.
been testing out Good Molecules discoloration serum this month and I am loving it! makes my skin extra glowy and I was surprised how much moisture it gives my skin for being a serum. soooo good!! 😊
You sure have upped your makeup game, Miss Driscoll 😊. I never used to notice your makeup, but I've certainly been doing that lately. Looking gorgeous as usual! Remain into skincare though please! Your videos are so enjoyable and helpful to me. Love from the UK
The eye makeup, the lips, the outfit - you’re rocking it Kelly! I’ve been curious about the Hatomugie for some time. I love an emulsion before moisturizer, especially at night. Actually for me it’s emulsion - oil - moisturizer and then if I have been up for awhile before bed, sleeping pack! Desert dryness in the winter is no joke.
I'm glad you explained the stratia eye cream. I am a user of the LG, interface, rewind and the cleansing milk . I have a tough New Year facing some losses that have happened, my middle daughter left or estranged from the family and my parents are facing a shorter runway. Soooo. Big time Mel is facing a shrinking pool of family. 😢
Kelly, I love you! I can't believe you and I are on the same wavelength about already getting excited for 2024. (A part of me wants to joke and say it's because you're an honorary Asian to me and we're both getting excited about the powerful Year of the Dragon coming up in February! lol.) I really LOVED the last segment of this video and it helped me look at 2024 with incredible positivity and hope! 🥰🥰🥰
I just used the naturie gel moisturizer and holy cow, I've never tried anything like this. I accidently used it as a face mask but it felt so great and eventually dried. My skin and lips have never felt so plump and hydrated. I'm kind of mind blown.
I have had the Naturie emulsion for a bit but was unsure how to put it in my routine. I am gonna try using it how you have and see how it goes. Thank you!
Funny story I bought what I thought was the Naturie skin conditioning milk, but the toner in the 500ml bottle. I thought result I got a bigger bottle then Kelly for around £20 😂When it came I thought I’d been sold a fake as it wasn’t thick and milky but watery. So folks always pay attention to detail and don’t order the wrong item to begin with😂 I will use it of course and have the conditioning milk on its way to me .. phew I was so glad I wasn’t sold a fake in the end 😂PS LRP has been a saviour for me at the moment it’s turned very cold here in the UK. I’ve even used on my face today and the cold winds bounced right off my face instead of going straight through me 🥶🥶
For naturie, they use the term skin conditioner for the toner. The toner is very watery. I used to use that, but now that my skin is getting more dry, I cannot use that anymore. So sad because the skin conditioner comes in a 500ml bottle and at a veeeeery affordable price
Thx for another wonderfull video Kelly. My november faves... This month I switched to Cetaphil hydrating cream on my face for daytime and it helps. I also am trying out the gift size pc peptide booster and I have to say that my skin does look plumper.😊 ❤❤
🤍🤎🖤🤍🤎🖤🤍🤎🖤💚💚💚🤍🤎🖤🤍🤎🖤🤍🤎🖤💚💚💚 definitely the NIOD Copper Peptides lol and Peter Thomas Roth Ultimate 5 Moisturizer … I’m loving the ingredients in that eye cream Lipid Gold
Yes that’s why I tried it lol to give me a boost 🤣🤣🤣 I got the Peach and Lily copper peptides on sale too I’m set for pretty much all year on copper peptides 🤣
Speaking about haircare, Iunik just released hair oil (argan). Have you or anyone tried it yet? Thank you for another great video Kelly, I can't imagine my evenings without them. ❤❤❤
Remember, you don't need a new year to change something. I don't know who needs to hear this, but I heard someone say this once, and I took pause: "It's not about catching up; it's about starting where you are." To add something to that, my therapist and I were talking about how to address each of the collective moments that I put enjoy into my very cumbersome long time goal, and SURVIVE! 😂 She said "There is a beginning, a middle, and an end for everything that you approach daily. Beginning is identifying your intention, and formulating a plan for the next 2 steps. The middle is the action. Going in for the work. But you have a clear goal and intent; this should include when you are done for this moment. The end? How you unwind and reset. Before you approach a moment, you should already have all 3 of those established in your mind." She told me that this is the way you approach gargantuan tasks that feel unapproachable. But that it also applies for things as small as a stressful conversation with a loved one. Kelly, I know that you and your family are going through a lot. Have a plan for tough moments, always ending with resetting/ deescalating those emotions that run high. Its a gentle way to care for yourself in a practical way so that you don't burn out, and you still have something left in yourself to offer to the situation in the next moment, or nexr day. This helps you collectively be who you want to be across time, and helps you to move forward through difficult moments. I sincerely wish the best for you and your family. I only just found you a short while ago, but you have truky been a bright spark in my life recently. I am so appreciative that, desolate everything you've going through, you share yourself with this community. Of course, I would appreciate you just the same if you didn't have space to do so through these trying times. Please, take care of yourself. Sending much love. ❤
I have a question Kelly! Very interesting concept of the toner sandwich. Do you think the dr. Cuercle kombucha tea essence can be used to sandwich after the watery toners? Or do you typically use that one after serums? Or can you use snail mucin for that? I really want to try this because my skin is super dry. I'm a Tretinoin user.
I'm also having an issue where my face skin dries up in the middle of my work day. I have been trying to find a moisturizer that will stop that from happening. I'm going to buy that la Roche posay and give it a try. Thanks. I have also started taking 4 supplements for skin hydration. Collagen, hyluronic acid, silica and phytoceramides.
@@sierrarmcclain No I don't use a dedicated HA serum or anything. I bought la Roche posay lipikar triple action yesterday. Kelly always suggests it in her videos. It worked! My face stayed hydrated through my whole work day ! :)
I'm finishing up my Dr. Ceuracle Kombacha tea Essence, Is the Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioning Milk a similar product? I love the Dr. Ceuracle but am open to trying something new...
I'm so glad you mentioned the Stratia Eye Cream. I've been looking for reviews on it and the only person I've found who has even mentioned it is AliceintheRabbitHole. I just ordered some during their Black Friday sale and can't wait to try it!
