I've only recently discovered your blog and really enjoy it. It is so exciting to hear you - and to see you - talking about Tiny's knits. That's when I started knitting again too, after taking a few years off after university. Baby knits are just fun to make. They take a whole lot less time and yarn than knitting for our grandkids now, who are all young adults (19-23 years old.) Plus, all you need to think about is "cutenes", not whether the babies will actually wear what you make. I've got 2 super knit worthy grandkids and two I am not sure about. Hope to run into you somewhere, as we just got back to Seattle. I'm a Seattle native - age 76 - but we now live half time in a small town in Italy where I knit every evening. While I knit mostly with Holstgarn Supersoft and Titicaca, I do support Seattle LYSs and local dyers.

I have knitted all the baby patterns from petiteknit an love it because all the numbers, the fit, the button bands are always right! So mindless. I use them as bases and add different stitches and colorwork 🙌🏼

I'm really enjoying seeing all your baby knits! I was pregnant and knitting her all the things at the same season last year :) I knitted her garments mostly in the 6 month size even though she would be 6 month old in summer time and it worked really well, she was able to wear them from her birth to 9 months.

lol! Laura also inspired me to acquire more headbands. The Tiny knits are precious. Seems many of the RU-vidrs I follow are expecting babies. Good luck with your pregnancy.

I recently saw the Heirloom Quilt Cardigan on Ravelry and thought this may be easier to adapt to a baby blanket. The squares look smaller and it’s already a DK gauge. Thanks for another video. I think your husband is going to love the sweater you made for him and all the baby knits are so cute. Enjoy your month of December and your knits.

You could compare the size of the sweater for your husband with sweater he already loves to wear.

Lovely projects as always. Did you try to put your husband’s sweater on top of one of his old ones? I adjust the fit like that if I can’t put it on the person.

If you want your baby knits to last a little longer make sure to knit them a little longer. Kids grow more in length than width comparatively. I’ve gotten rid of so many sweaters because they were too short even though the width was perfect ;)
