I liked that striped sweater over the button up. Cute pants! Thanks for sharing!

As with all your videos, this one has lots of information and inspiration. Your description of the fabrics is so helpful for fabrics I might want to purchase. When I saw your Maritime blue stripe knit top, I kept thinking it would look so good with a bias cut white skirt or maybe wide-leg white pants. I love the drape of the fabric.

Thanks Judy! I really appreciate that! Great idea with the top! I do have a pair of wide leg Holly white pants! I’m going to wear that combo tomorrow! Thanks for the inspo! The fabric really is beautiful…and I’m pretty sure they have more in stock.

I think the drop shoulder on the stripy top looks intentional and really modern and flattering!

Great video. I love seeing a plan come to fruition. Have to pass on a sewing tip I learned from Whitney on Tomkat Stitchery. She uses bias binding on blouse curved hems. I tried it and I do like it better than the double fold method that just doesn’t work. I don’t know why they keep showing that method on pattern instructions. I thought your two striped shirts looked great on you.

love the last pair of pants, they would be perfect in spring with a nice pair of chunky sandles and a summer top to go with it

I am a new subscriber...I loved your presentations. Everything you've made looks like RTW! The drop shoulders on the striped top look intentional, too. The orange pants and the printed top styled with and without the belt looked great when worn with flats. It would also look great with heels if you want a different look. Beautiful work! Happy Sewing and Happy New Year!

The stripe top where you are thinking of taking it in at the neck might actually look nice with raglan sleeve shoulder pads in it instead.

Your lightweight stripey top looks great as is. The 'drop shoulder' looks like it is on purpose and has a lovey casual feel. I know it isn't what you had PLANNED for yourself, but it is terrific. Also it might be a good one for tucking in, in the blouson style ( a different silhouette for you? ). Your patterned top and orange pants really pop as an outfit! Great video

Thanks so much Nancy! The top is definitely growing on me, it’s really pretty on its own, I think I’ll probably wear it more in spring. Happy sewing!

Great garments. Love the paprika colored pants. How do you adjust for your knock knees?
@SewPomona
@SewPomona 7 месяцев назад
Thanks! I basically shift the grain lines a bit and do some leg adjustments. I have it built into my sloper so it appears straight when worn.
@terrilee6849

For the blue stripe top would a narrow shoulder adjustment work rather than sizing down and grading out for the waist/hip? I was thinking if it was just the shoulder seam not resting in the correct spot this might be a viable option. I think all your makes are beautiful and I really enjoyed how you explained the pattern and fit while modeling each outfit. Thank you for sharing!
@SewPomona
@SewPomona 7 месяцев назад
Thanks so much! Great idea! That’s not a usual fit issue for me which is why I was surprised with the fit. I’ll check that out.

Go up a size or do a FBA? Unless you have large shoulders, the top looks too big.
@SewPomona
@SewPomona 7 месяцев назад
I’m guessing with the seaming it might be tricky to do a FBA? But whatever works best. I was just going off how the tunic fits me.
@cheryl3366
@cheryl3366 7 месяцев назад
@@SewPomona that's true, until I learn about FBA I always struggle with fit. I am so happy that several of the small companies offer cup size options. One less thing to adjust yourself.
@SewPomona
@SewPomona 7 месяцев назад
I agree! That’s really why I do tend to stick to the pattern companies whose fit model is closest to my shape, makes fitting them so much easier. I love companies with bust sizing too- so helpful! Cashmerette has some really good FBA tutorials.
