Your gown is beautiful! I can't wait to see it on you. Your travel wardrobe was well thought out. You have plenty of options no matter what comes up. My husband and I are doing more traveling and I've spent a good part of the summer through right now trying to coordinate a basic capsule wardrobe that would be suitable for travel, whether we're spending a weekend with friends or going overseas. We plan to do 2-3 trips per year for the next few years and I thought having a core group of basic pieces would make packing a lot easier. We shall see how successful I've been! Enjoy the conference and I'll keep an eye out for your daily videos.

All of your outfits look great but the one that really stood out to me is the Vanlose pants in Sandwashed Rose with the black Brigit long sleeve tee. Adding the Koos Van Der Acker jacket really pulled the outfit together. The colors and style of the 3 pieces really work well on you. Can't wait to see the video of the ball gown. I find all your videos helpful to me in planning a cohesive wardrobe - thank you! Glad your conference wasn't in Tennessee - it's currently 11 degrees.

You have quite the outfits planned. I love how you put on so many of the things and showed multiple ways you could wear them. The brown set with the colorful duster looked awesome! Also loved the pleated Vogue pants with the simple black tshirt. Can't wait to see the gown on you. It is nice on the hanger but likely will look amazing when worn. No clothes sewing here right now. We are in the dead of freezing winter and I am all bundled up. Likely I will make some things in the Spring. I am working on an art quilt though which counts as sewing.

I just loved the colorful topper over that first outfit. So pretty and the black tee with the same pants. I just finished sewing a pine green silk shirt as the last piece of my green capsule for fall /winter. Although my next plan is some olive denim cargo/cool jeans which might also fit into the green capsule, at least for some of the tops I already have. I was trying out the whole color capsule idea but really struggled with the basics like the silk blouse. More being inspired to sew it than the technique. I am not sure i enjoy making basics although you have demonstrated very well how useful they are for styling. Like the all brown outfit under that white chambray shirt. Perfection!

I get exactly what you’re saying- sewing basics isn’t quite as exciting but really makes your closet really work.
