“If I had a flower for every time I thought of you… I could walk through my garden forever.” -Tennyson
Welcome to my small home garden in Zone 9b, Northern California! Today I am taking you on a tour of my front yard. My lot is less than 1/4 acre but I love it. I’m not a professional, just someone who is slightly obsessed. :)

You made my day today! I too heard about you from Garden Answers and was thrilled to see this video when you said you only live a farming town away from me! Let’s cheers to Growing Zone 9B! Thank you for the November tour and your top 10 beginning gardening tools video. Can’t wait to see what you have planned for spring. Do you have a vegetable garden too?

I love your videos! I started watching you about six months ago and did the espalier that you have for your ivy on my home with pink jasmine! It is looking great and finally filling in. Thank you for all of the inspiration I just love all of the things you have done and I am excited to see your journey in your new home. We just moved to our 1/2 acre property in San Diego a year ago and we are starting from scratch but as very beginner gardeners.

Just left a comment on your Plumbago pruning video from a few days ago. Found you via Garden Answer side yard video!

Next time you plant the giant pennisetum it would be fun to see the actual planting from the 4" pot and then see the 'monster' during and at the end of it's season, WOW what a wonderful plant particularly under your green thumb care : D

I love your multi-trunked crepe myrtle. I have one that I bought when my father passed away (I always buy plants to remember loved ones when they've passed) but mine is only a single trunk. I love the color and shade the tree provides me and the bark is so pretty.

You have restored my hope in planting daffodils in my subtropical zone here on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. The grower of my bulbs advises that their tulips should grow but their daffodils probably wouldn't, however others have told me the opposite is true! I'm so confused. I have bought some daffodil bulbs but missed out on getting my tulips this year, which is disappointing, but at least I can try daffodils. Next year I am going to do what you do, as you have had success. My biggest concern is that we have too much rain so the bulbs may rot if planted out. Thank you for this informative video.

Your garden is beautiful! I love that Wichita juniper, may I ask where you got it? I need some icy blue in my garden. Thank you for the tour, amazing job!

Those dianthus can probably be short term perennial for you if you want. Would probably last a couple of years. I'm 8b Texas and they are perennial for me (usually just a couple of summer/winter seasons) as long as they aren't in full sun. I love that you have the Breath of Heaven! There is a variety that is deeper green and grows about 3' tall. It is gorgeous when it's in bloom and sways in the breeze! I'd love to have one here in Texas, but haven't found them here and not sure they would tolerate our hot humid nights in summer.

Just subscribed! I just found your channel, I saw the "9b" in one of your titles and I immediately went to watch up all your videos! I'm also a new gardener and I am a FAITHFUL watcher of Garden Answer but I often get saddened by the beautiful plants she can grow that I cannot here in Central Florida (Lake County) zone 9b.

Hi, I also heard about you from garden answer about small side yard. I live in zone 9b along the Sacramento river in yolo county about 9 miles from west da Sacramento. I was looking for some one in 9b so I could see what they plant. Do you send for your PW or have you found a source. Supertunia will go bananas in my yard. I also like most of plants to attract the bees butterflies and hummingbirds. I also have subscribed and will look foward to seeing you and what spring looks like.
