My father died early this year in the late winter. I've gotten so much trauma and abandonment and fears and burdens from this man, but I also loved him in my own way. This cover makes me sob so hard, it really encapsulates my feelings. No matter what happened, all the good and all the bad, it's over now. I'm grateful for how it was in the end and I'm grateful I've managed to deal with the things he put me through earlier in life. I can remember him fondly, it's bittersweet.

My heart isn't broken, but this hits me for a whole nother reason. I'm almost 30, college graduated and all, whole nine yards, but have lived in a country thats been as dysfunctional as possible without it being in a war. Severe crisis, hyper inflation, lack of services, no healthcare, corruption, everything you can think of (yes, it's Venezuela). And this song reminds me of how much me and my family are tired of this, this situation took away our joy, our stability, almost took our hope...but now we're certain this will end in 7/28. We're sick of this, we're broken and hurt, but we're not going to go down without a fight. Let's make one last push, shall we?
