Hello lovely opening, what's your name? ●●Videos are made only with your support●● / dwyrin ●New Store● dwyrins-merch.creator-spring.... ●Twitch● / battsgo ●About● dwyrin is a full time U.S Go player and teacher
I'm seeing a lot of the 5/4, 5/5 or just literally opening with tengen lately, at ddk level. Could you do one of your joseki videos on how to deal with these sorts of openings?
Aaah, this black Fuseki is actually a Tengen opening with moves 1 and 5 inverted in the sequence It is a bit risky and full of uncertainty, but I am surprised you don’t seem to know the theory of it. If you did, dear Dwyrin, you would know that you were the one to succumb to greed in the first place, by disregarding the Tengen’s fighting power. You fought well, so in the end you escaped punishment. But you jumped head first in the fighting plan which makes the Tengen shine. Got a feeling you were not unlucky this time…
I mean, josekis are openings that make equal position, they don't have anything to do with the AI, except that some of them surely disappeared after it was introduced to the game. People just play poorly against josekis (or openings/traps) they don't really know So that's whh I assume you got good only because people don't know how to punish your weird openings
And that is also exactly how you will get stuck once you reach a level where your opponents can punish your suboptimal openings and force you to play honestly again.
@@33invasion being stuck at 1k is pretty respectable. nothing "dishonest" about knowing joseki, if he knows how to punish mistakes it means he won't be making them himself.
