And Ariel is Hercules' second-cousin once-removed. Hercules is the son of Zeus, who is brother to Poseidon, who had a son named Triton, who is the father to Ariel.
Sure, since it's About Wild Animal Kingdom, And Never EVER Has a Single Human In the Region, That means it is Timed Around a Time the Animal Kingdom Thrived while Humans were Nowhere on the Continent even.
Years ago, I was working a catering job in Philly.. a big party. I was waiting for the elevator.. looking down. The elevator door opened and all I heard was a super deep voice say … Hello.. I looked up and it was James Earl Jones smiling at me ! lol Super cool guy 👍
@@MJ100k That’s awesome! Forget an autograph; his saying Hello to me would’ve been enough, too. That must’ve been back in 2007. James Earl Jones read Casey at the Bat before the Phillies played the Giants one night in June of that year. I was across the street that same night at the Wells Fargo Center wasting my time watching Roger Waters lecture me in song for 2+ hours. I should’ve gone to CBP to watch James Earl Jones, even though the Phillies got killed 10-0.
Zazu saying that about Scar “He’d make a very handsome throw rug” only tells me that he knows of humans & what they do & are capable of doing, even informing Mufusa about it because Mufusa knows what he’s talking about.
Zazu probably met with Hercules to arrange Scar's unaliving. Hercules was NOT the sharpest knife in the drawer. It would have been easy for Zazu to convince Herc that he was Zeus.
Scar was able to escape the Hyenas and wandered through Africa and Mesopotamia until he eventually reached Greece. He terrorized the countryside until Hercules finally put him down
Not before finding the time machine to go to before the tectonic plates shifted and separated the world so he could walk across the world to ancient Greece despite the difference in climate and air leading to his eventual demise anyway
Nah, that's too much distance to cover for a lion, even in his entire life. Probably he was hunted and brought to Greece, where he could escape and torment people
Yes. Hercules Went George Of The Jungle on Scar and said Bad Kitty when he finished with him. As a second thought, Scar's Throw rug would have made a great halloween costume back at pride rock.
I believe it goes something like this: Mufasa said that all the great kings of the past watch over us from above. The implication here would be that he and Scar come from a long line of kings (otherwise, how would he know this). There is a VERY good chance that the brothers are descended from the Nemean Lion, a great king. If so, this would be why Scar resembles the Nemean Lion. Zazu’s comment could then refer to why had eventually happens to the Nemean Lion being turned into a rug…
@@pence089 aha thought about it and yes he has a scar but his name is scar which means he was born with it not obtained later on. And since the Nemean Lion has impenetrable skin then he was also born with it. HAHAHA
This is my favorite comment 😌😌😌 Makes total sense when you think about it. Also Mufasa saying great kings could've been a reference to the Greek gods as well as their ancestors. I think that part just depends on how you would like to interpret it.
That doesn’t mean Scar is the Nemeian Lion. The cartoon actually shows Hercules briefly fight another lion that certainly is meant to be the Nemeian Lion, not the snippet of Scar that the animators put in for fun.
But when you really go into mythology Hercules is the son of Zeus who is the brother of Poseidon whose son is Triton whose daughter is Ariel, which means Hercules and Ariel are related🤯
So, they're second cousins, bloodline wise Heracles is the same generation as Triton, which makes sense, I have a cousin who's only a few years younger than me, and I'm technically the bloodline generation above him, since his father was also my cousin.
Scar, a lion from the heart of Africa, somehow survived the pack of hyenas, traveled miles north to Greece just to be killed by a Demigod. Yeah, kinda optimistic there, Morphius?
Wtf you mean it’s not mind blowing, it literally shows one of our favorite Disney animals get slaughtered an used as a hat, you can only fake the funk for so long
Sadly, that's called an Easter egg. Something they did before making things connect. They did that with a lot of their old movies. But the idea that there is a connection is cool.
If by writing, you mean just tweaking an existing story, then sure. Lion King is based off of Hamlet, and it's also basically ripped off of an old anime.
Theory: Scar died in the lion king. Then he got reincarnated in the volcano in the lion guard. Then kion extinguished him, then Hades brought scar back to life to take down Hercules. Van Hercules killed him so in total, scar died three times
that is not what a hidden mickey is xD a hidden mickey is a mickey silhouette usually comprised of 3 circles or ovals, this is merely a joke that was laughed at and picked up on in the cinema at the time, I know I was in the theatre I laughed all the kids said scar.
Here's my theory: Scar is the Nemean lion who run away into the world of The Lion Guard who ended up getting killed by the henya and Zuzu sold Scar's dead body to Hercules 🦁
Interesting fact, Hercules commited the crime of killing his wife. Even if it was a bout of madness caused by Hera making Herc think there was an enemy when it was his wife, Herc had to do the time. He was in servitude to King Eurystheus and during that time, the King sent him on the 12 labors. The wife that he killed? It was his first wife, Megara.
I’m not doubting the viciousness of hyenas when they’re hungry, but we never actually saw Scarr die just a silhouette being attacked by hyenas, so is always a possibility he escaped
My theory is that when the Hyenas ate Scar, they only ate his body and not his head, and Hercules found his head while taking a walk and took it and now wears his pelt
@@arfgrogue5735what is he supposed to be watching then ? every adult made movie or what ? This logic makes no sense that’s like saying a child should never watch movies with their parents cuz the parents are mature enough
@@patrickx9865not many people just sit around studying movies and Easter eggs he’s just showing people that didn’t know or didn’t notice themselves! His videos about this even if someone else made one with the same topic don’t make me mad its people like you who think they know it all in the comments that upset me😑
"I am on my way off to see the distance ill.be there some day" - Hercules I do love music from Hercules so much but I think Tarzan has the best music with (Phil Collins - youll be in my heart(
Two worlds is the only song I recall from tarzan and I've seen it a good few times, Princess and the frog has 2 good songs. Hercules has go the distance, zero to hero, won't say I'm in love, gospel truth, one last hope and star is born
@@The_SnuggleDuck every Disney movie has atleast 1 great song like lion king had (circle of life) and (can you feel the love tonight) and scars - (be prepared) and Aladdin has one of my favorite songs too like (whole new world) and (Arabian night) and the little song that Aladdin sings "riff raff street rat I dont buy that if only they look closer"
I think realistically it was only meant to reference to Scar, given that he somewhat matches the description of the mythical lion. On the other hand, depending on when each movie takes place, Scar could be the Nemean Lion’s reincarnation of some sort
I remember noticing it as a kid watching it for the first time and whispering to my dad, “Dad! That’s Scar!” Before I knew what an Easter Egg was. There’s nods to other animated Disney films in almost every (more modern) Disney film but this is definitely one of my favorites.
Thought it was gonna lead to a Nemean Lion a bizarre confirmation that Scar was destined/doomed to fail while Simba was destined to truly be King Scar screwed his own future Also fun fact, Scar's actual name from the Prequel Book (Lion Guard) confirmed his actual name is Taka (meaning "waste" or "want" in Swahili) If I'm correct Mufasa translates to King, both Scar & Mufasa's father was a real jerk 🤣 If I'm correct it was a water buffalo that gave Scar... His signature scar so he changed it to scar since he didn't like being called Taka
According to The Lion Guard, Scar's first name was “Askari”, and he got his scar from a snake bite. That is the canon explanation, although the weaker one. The strongest explanation is that he got it from a lion (possibly Mufasa or his own father). If I'm not mistaken, “Taka” originated from a non-canon book, The Tale of Two Brothers.
Well it will be interesting to see the new Mufasa movie, as I belive it will show that Mufasa was adopted, which would technically mean that Scar was the rightful King, but because Scar was evil, he forfeited the throne.
@@americandefender1861 if you think about it, the only rightful king in a pride of lions would be a male not related to the pride. Otherwise, it's liable to be incest because the king would be mating with all his half sisters.
@@Samantha-dl2yw well in real lion prides, that is usaully what happens. Animals dont care about incest. Although, obviously we dont want an acurate Lion King, cuz male lions eat their children, especially all the boy cubs. In real lion prides, the only male allowed to stay is the current king. If male cubs arent eaten, when young, they are driven out by the king. Unless they challenge and win agaisnt him. In which case that young lion becomes the new king, and the old king is either dead or cast out. Lion fathers are not nice and kind like Mufasa lol
But that also means the hyenas didn't kill scar at the end of Lion King 1 and he somehow survived most likely went into hiding in which Hercules found him and they fought we all know how that turned out
Disney used Scar as an Easter Egg for one of their earlier movies, not to show that Hercules killed Scar. The Nemaen Lion was actually completely Golden. Not red & black. If anything the Nemaen Lion is actually one of Simba's great grandkids.
