Here's a little story behind this song:
Lisa Gerrard's lyrics in "Now We Are Free" have no language known to man. She uses her own "language" or glosalalia, similar to what young children use to talk or sing or what some pentecostal groups use to pray. At least this is how LG has described her process in many interviews. She has said she makes up the words as she goes along. Sort of like Jazz vocalists when they scat sing. My impression is that she finds doing this doesn't hamper the listener's ability to add their own experience with the song itself - words get in the way, kind of like now, for example.

The way you mix these songs are amazing! In most of acapella songs you notice the background voices creating the 'instrumental' music, but with you it took me almost the whole song to realize that the backing music is actually acapella too!! Keep up the good work!

I remember being back in 2012 in high school and my english teacher showed my class Peter's channel covering The Hobbit misty mountains and we were all blown away and i've never looked back.( considering that we were reading the Hobbit book) Peter's covers are a beautiful mix of quality over quantity, and considering that these high quality videos take time and craftsmanship is something i will always the time and patience for. I love what Lisa Gerrard did with the lyrics. I also like Karl Jenkins/Adiemus, and Era/Ameno, they both use similar "nonsense lyrics" to conjure up the exact feeling they're going for. I'd love to hear what those songs would sound like with the Hollens treatment! ;-)
