The reason why Xelors (Nox's "Race") wear bandages is because their chronomantic powers slowly cause their bodies to turn to dust. The armor/wakfu/bandages/whatever wasn't keeping artifically extending his lifespan since humans in the Wakfu universe can live far, far longer than in ours (Ruel is actually about the same age as nox and he has a still living grandmother that's even older) .This scene isn't Nox burying his armor, it's literally the aftermath of his unraveling his bandages so he can finally be back with his family
@@shacharlem4424 The afterlife in the world of twelve is... odd Also Nox might straight up be a god now. The various gods and goddesses occasionally ascend mortals to replace themselves, but also they're still the same god and there's a possiblity that being able to reverse time was enough to warrant that for Nox.
Nox's death: "Wiki" In the final credits of Wakfu season 1, Nox's remains and armor are seen on what appears to be his family's grave. While some have speculated that he only left his armor behind, Ankama's timeline shows that he died that year. I really wish it was different. Nox was only wishing for the best, with hopes of not hurting anyone at the end reversing all the damage he caused..
Andrey Shapovalov I don't think he could survive without his armor anymore either. Hence why by the end of his backstory, he was wearing just the Helmet but after 200 years you saw nothing of his body but the armor/machinery. He was probably a nearly adhered corpse only sustained by waifu and his willpower.
a tragic antagonist lost in his quest that he became a monster ready to sacrefice all for his goals...great character, now I think that's why he spared Yugo's father he realized that hewas about to take what was taken from him
Man really thought it would all be made right when he went back in time, but his pride in his and the Eliacube's abilities blinded him from the reality of what he could realistically accomplish
There was nothing left for him to do. He did what he said he would do. Though, he really believed it would not end this way. He was supposed to succeed, and if he didn't he couldn't care if the world lives on or dies. He didn't just mean he would not care, he just did not want to admit to himself that he would commit suicide. A plan incase of failure is planning to fail. He did it. He went back in time. However, he failed to meet up with his family. He could not repair the clock of his life. It's a shame he died all alone. Must've felt cold in that armor after he realized there was nothing else. In his mind there was a sudden realization that he not see his family again. To suddenly see that he was insane, that was truly a cruel way to die. If you noticed throughout season 1, he shivers like a clock ticking to the next degree. But at the end he moved normally turning his head and moving his body with fluid movements. He regained the last of his humanity in his final moments.
@@DrawinskyMoon there is a special episode about nox’s backstory "noximilien l’horloger" or noximilian the watchmaker in English. We don’t see what happens to his family but we are told
Nox was totally my favorite character in wakfu because after all he was really good hearted person who loved his family, and I think person who is able to love isn't a bad guy
Nix only killed cause he believed That if he was able to go back in Time then fix EVERYTHING, then Other people's lives didn't matter Because it would all be sunshine and Rainbows in the end.
EmptyMan000 sometimes good and inocent people do bad things even if they have the best intentions but the sometimes we dont want hurt nobody but we still hurt
EmptyMan000 he did it because he would have reverted their deaths but when it failed he realized everything he did couldn't be undone. He broke down realizing he's killed innocent people, destroyed villages, and he'll never see his family again. This is how you write a villain
Despite all the evil he has done, when Grougaloragran looks at Nox's soul, he see's that he is still good (if only just) and tells him to stop his quest, but Nox refuses, determined to undone the damage he has caused and reverse time so that his family will live. :/, He desires to take all of the Wakfu from the world, or atleast enough of it, to power the Eliacube, a small cube of incredible power that appears to speak to him, and go back in time to save his family from death. Because he is trying to go back in time, he is ruthless in the pursuit of his goal and takes many lives in his quest to gather Wakfu (life force/energy), as he believes that when he goes back in time, all that he has done will be undone.
I love villains like Nox. Ones where you can genuinely see their logic and reasoning behind what they are doing, and also the good intentions that they started out with. Nox just wanted his family back and in his grief came to the conclusion that so long as he was successful he could use any means possible, since he believed that once he got what he wanted everything would be reset, everyone he had killed and all he had destroyed would come back. The chilling thought is that, in the same situation, I could easily see myself doing what he did, since the consequences would be erased upon reaching my goal. EDIT: Admittedly I don't think I'm smart enough to make an army of time robots.
Great character and great show. I’m so proud that people from my country produced such a beautiful story and universe. Thank you Ankama to export a little piece of our culture and offering such wonders to all the children of the world. Salutation from France 🇫🇷
Seeing how I previously made a memorial for Qilby (in the white dimension), I suddenly thought that maybe Nox deserved one too. As for the soundtrack, well the music box instrument of the soundtrack (originally from a Pirates of the Caribbean movie) just reminded me a bit of a clock's own ticking rhythm. Well, maybe it's just me.
For those that are pointing out that there are three Graves here let me point out that this has been zoomed in on, in the original scene there are four graves, in this the one just off to the side has been cut out, to see the original watch the ending scenes from the French wakfu season one ending.
Nox is one of my favorite villains in all of writing, his reasoning and justification were all right, and he was completely right, if he succeeds nothing bad he did would matter as it would never happen and he would have his family back, everyone wins nobody gets hurt and nox gets his family back, he deserved happiness
Is so sad Nox didn’t go back in time to see his family but he did two things right to able to see his family again by giving up that magic box and to join them in the afterlife I’m proud he did what his wife told him 200 years ago to give up that magic box that got him like that
Yes… but he didn’t live with his family He was blinded out by that cube for finally definitely lose everything… His whole life was to go back in time to see his family again but in the end he has nothing
I'm crying, Nox wasn't bad. He only wanted his family bad and so he became unstable and deditacted to his goal so much that he was ready to sacrifice every living thing for the wakfu. At least that's what I believe 😢😭
As time ticks forward only one thing is certain... You only get one chance... One chance to pick wrong or right... Nox tried to change that... He tried to go back... And wanted to be a good person... A good father... A good husband... A good human... He never did anything out of malicious intent... He never killed anything simply to kill it... He only killed it if it had Walkfu... He only ever stole the time of others to try and reverse his twisted story... But, a thief can only get so far... And just to think... He himself is a God when compared to many... He was a man who deified the Gods and even managed to turn the clock back... He was able to live for over 200 years... Created things most couldn't even dream of and had managed to slay one of the few remaining dragons in his world... You know... One thing they never told you in the story is, that he didn't just turn back time for his world alone... He made time go back for everything for 20 minuets... Every world, every universe got an extra 20 minuets... It's really quite the achievement if you think about it... But, it's quite a shame, if he had only took his world back in time... He might have actually seen his family again... … It's ironic isn't it... The Clockmaker created a time machine... But, he failed to use it properly... And read the clock wrong... Such a sad and ironic tale...
Djodrax he lost his hope and will to live his only chance to see his family and fix EVERYTHING bad he done had failed so with nothing to drive him and motivate him to stay alive. Also due He was over 200 years old that he just became ash
sorrow , anger , sadness all these things drove nox to do what he did he only wished to see his family again and in the end he did in the next life . i for one loved nox as an antagonist he was wrong in his actions but he wanted to so badly hold his children again i dont know but you all but i can really relate to nox
OK how nox died : I guess he must be really old by now and his armor was the thing that keep him alive, so after he failed to bring his famliy back he decides to turn off his power and join them in death, but since he did....time caught up to him and then slowly turned into dust(that's pretty deep and it makes u feel sorry for the guy)
Omari Bassett no the cube -was- his power, he had lost the cube, hence he lost his power which sustained his armor aka his life, the cube was lost and he teleported with the remains of his power to his family's grave to join them, in the end, Nox was just a victim of time aswell :( R.I.P Nox.
But what about Igol, Nox's bow wow? Based on how it sees Lottie, the Bow Wow is a very old bow wow (mistaking Lottie for one of Nox's children), yet didn't turn to dust once it's Xelor collar had come off ... You sure Nox turned to dust in the end?
Had happiness. Found a cube which he thought could make his life even better. Instead of helping. The cube took everything. And after years of being what seems to be a servent to the cube. When it fell silent and left him alone. He gave up.
WTFFF dude, a few weeks ago i re-discovered the davy jones theme song and i immediately associated it to nox i don't even know why but it just fits the clockmaker thing and the tragedy of the character so well.... and then i discover this, i really didn't expect anyone else to associate this music and this character.
Wherever you are Nox, I hope you have finally found peace😢... ...Aunque tengo el presentimiento de que regresarás muy pronto de tu ostracismo personal😎
When u think about it u have to feel bad for the major villains. Nox a clockmaker that found the Cube and was drawn in by its power that caused him to go insane to the point that his family left him, after which stopped focusing on the to go be and join his family until he found out that his family died thanks to ogrest chaos which then sets up everything that's happened and think about it if u were trying to get your family back and u succeeded in doing your objectives but in which fails and know that all what you did was for nothing with all the lives you've taken not being able to be forgiven. Qilby in short be cursed to being able to remember living and dieing over and over again and u being the only one driving him into madness.
The way to darkknes is sometimes, inhope of light. NOX want change time, and safe his family. But eliacube (bad part of yugo) and quilib use him, and make him maddnes. they use his love to change him in to monster
The sad part is that the kid turned it back in time to where his family was going to die from the flood but he was to focused on the fight that didn’t realize it but he was the best
I feel like I know why he didn't go back as far as he wanted. When he started to go back, the Wakfu he had absorbed needed to go back to where it was taken from to restore its temporal state. Imagine Yugo staying dead after Nox went back. When he reached a point where he took Wakfu, it had to return to its source, because at that point the Wakfu hadn't been taken yet.
necro reply but my theory is that its not just rewinding time in a localized area he would have had to rewind the ENTIRE KROSMOS' 200 year history which would require more wakfu than exists in their entire solarsystem i imagine.
The clocker maker nox despite everything he only wanted to see his family and in the end he did he's with them in heaven now the eliacube lied in the end as well it said it could take him back to his family but it only wanted to quench its thrust for wakfu nox was a good man may he rest in peace with his family
This Sadness of The Clock Is That It Can't Go Back, It Always Has to Go Forward To Stay In Course of Life, The Only Way to Change The Clock is Bye Stopping a Persons Clock to Join There Families Clock....[The Clocks Are Supposed to Be Life]
A man kept alive well beyond his time finally broken by the weight of his actions takes his final breath next to the graves of the loved ones he devoted the past 200 years trying to save only to fail. Its a pretty grim ending for a show that is usually quite light hearted. (Though considering some of the other things that happened in that final arc I guess its not that surprising)
the funny story is, making NOX loose the war, made the world lose. i mean, he wanted use all the energy to go back time and undone, and if he achived that, none of the death by his hand and others would happends. defeating him made all permanent so that's the real lost. Wakfu is awesome, because of this things, not everything is black or white. not every good action will bring the happiness of the world
A man that wanted more time. A man that wanted to cheat death. A man that wanted peace. A man that lost it all...twice. A man that stole time from countless beings. A man that took life just to end his own. A man that caused a war. A man that gave up his own family...twice. In the end, the man learned, the one thing no amount of magic can stop...The very thing he was trying to undo...death...as it catches up to all...only taking but a matter...of time... Farewell clockmaker...The man who lost and gave up it all...and failed.
I was mad when i watched season 2 and 3 cuz it didn’t bring nox back nox is my favorite character in wakfu and his backstory is so flipping sad just like his death I’m crying right now while typing this
Nox history is ended, and it should be like this, because if Ankama bring him back and make like Oropo, it would be much worse, Nox has the perfect and saddest end and it shouldn't be changed
Both had their reasons to act the way they did. To call a person's actions in a way unworthy of the name, is not something any of us should do, whether it is a fictional character or not. Going by the standards you present, the world would be a rather dark place, and unfortunately, it is. Thanks for leaving a comment.
SeeBeyondTheScientist in the end, what makes a truely, truely memorable villian, is one that does what he think is right and what he believes in, despite his cruel choices, i respect nox for having been able to do them, because he thought he could make it all right again, i think the real tradegy isent his death, but that he didnt suceed. That scene where nox eye everyone surrounding him, i think he realized what harm and pain he had caused by then. I can't imagine the preasure and pain that must've caused to him, he is a fictional charecter, but that was a real emotional heartbreaking moment.
Kingandhorse Yeah its sad losing your family and then going back 20 min out of 300 years really makes you feel bad i my self cried. But yeah id like to see him come back for season three and maybe him being a good guy
I wouldn't say he is my favorite villain, but i thought Nox was one of the best villains in all the shows and things ive played or watched. In a show that wasn't perfect, he nearly perfected it...
Nox tried and tried he's probably the best villain in the series in season 3 even yugo regret's his decision when fake Nox say's "I died because of you!." nox didn't understand nox was a good person he thought when he rewinded time It would have undone his decision but it was his fault his family died because they went to the island because of his craziness he was becoming mad trying to make a scientific breakthrough it was his fault they died because of Ogrest chaos it was HIS FAULT that they went out to sea and died because of ogrest tears
i have a question didnt nox had 3 kids? i only see 3 graves there it shouls be 4 maybe we are going to see is decendents in the future. and hopefully they will help yugo instead of being a villan
This has been zoomed in on so much that the fourth gave is cut from the shot. There is another grave to the left of the big one in the original scene, which is the last scene of season one credits, but you need to watch the French credits as all the English one's I've seen to date cut out half way through.
hey i have been looking for the song that played during the credits of the episode "Noximilien the Watchmaker" do you happen to know the name ? I have done a lot of research but can't find anything on the song that is played during the credits It'll be pretty awesome if you could help me in my quest to find the name of what i think is a japanese song as the episode was made by a japanese company
*Spoiler alert* He dies. Nah just kidding... partly. By the end of the last episode in season 1 you see him disappear before a protective Yugo. As such, his own end henceforth is unknown. However understanding that he used a considerate amount of wakfu to keep himself alive, and the fact that the machine injecting it to him was destroyed, it might seem an simple conclusion to draw. On the other hand, series do love surprising their fans, so perhaps some scenario as to how he could still be alive might be in the works. Seeing his grave with only his gear lying on it does not necessarily mean that he is past. It might just as well symbolize him letting go off his strive to turn back time, his previous demented self "dying" in the process. Well, despite the above, I don't seem to give a definite answer to your question sadly. Though having said that, it is my humble opinion that such questions are sometimes better pondered upon on one's own. The answer you will reach will be your most fitting, and perhaps that is the beauty of it... Thanks for watching :)
SeeBeyondTheScientist yeah I’d like to think that he is not dead, he only left his armor but also, how could people say that he is dead if there is not evidence of him deactivating and taking off his armor? I really would like to see him again because he is literally the best villain ever because he is not evil, he just wants to see his family so I think Nox is the best villain and I don’t care what the others says and I REALLY hope that he is alive and he will come back to make things better and help yugo and his friends and become one of the members of the Tofu Crew
In all likelihood, the Eliacube and/or wakfu fuelling the clockwork modifications he'd evidently made to his own body were the only things that let him live for so long (that and probably willpower). So after he both drained all his wakfu with the time-reversal, and severed his connection to the Eliacube when teleporting to his family's graves, 200 years of held-back time caught up with his body.
não Nox porque ?? você morreu eu sei que seu plano não deu certo mas viva velho aproveite a vida do jeito que você não conseguiu aproveitar no passado.
pretty much everything would've been undone, he would be back with his family and all the destruction he caused would be reverse. At least that was what he was hoping would happen. He figured the ends justified the means.
The time-reversal would've likely reverted his body to its pre-corruption state, based on how his actions were reversing during the 20-minute reversal in canon, but his memories and his deranged mental state would remain. I like to think he'd try to warn his family of their fates and eventually break down in tears on his hands and knees from finally getting them back, and Galanthe and the kids would firmly stay with him after learning of the alternate timeline he'd erased and the horrible things he'd done to get there, and help him to slowly somewhat mentally recuperate.
Hm, can't say I know myself (or if he actually died at all). He could have just ironically died of wakfu depletion, but I would like to think that this grave, on the Island of Mayara, is where he would have left his suit, and his past, to move on to a place and time far beyond that which anyone should ask.
jack fartison Could be. Although then, being the solemn person that I am, I will have to wonder who placed the vase and the flowers there... Nice suggestion in any case~
SeeBeyondTheScientist No thats what actully happend after yugo defended him he said good bye and teleported to his familys grave thats been there for 200 years and with out the eleicube his age caught up with his body and he turned to dust
