NPCA & Nature Valley: Protecting the Rim of the Valley 

In Los Angeles’ backyard, just beyond the hustle and bustle of the city, a nature escape awaits. By expanding Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area to include the Rim of the Valley, more families will have access to a national park - and can experience some of the last remaining wild lands in Los Angeles.
National Parks Conservation Association and Nature Valley are encouraging the preservation of the land that comprises the Rim of the Valley by spotlighting the importance of the land to families and the community at large and how the land’s protection will create further opportunities for recreation and access to nature, among other benefits, for Los Angeles and its residents.
