To basically explain a lot of peoples problems with this update, it may not work for everyone. It's a sad truth, because all graphics cards are different. If this update doesn't work for you, always try twice. If it still doesn't work, you need to delete all the files it installed, and your game should go back to normal. I'm sorry I didn't respond to everyone's problems, I was busy. Apologize, everyone!
Jacob Klumpp If you have to reinstall it twice, it might come up! But if it doesn't work, it probably won't work. If you have a keyboard that has an FN button, try using that as well.
NewWorld I need some help. I tried this update and now my nr2003 screens and gameplay are super choppy and I lost all smoothness. How can o go back to original graphics settings?
yeah, absurd really. Back in 2000-2003 I was over the moon with the great Nascar/WoO games to play. My son was just born, and I remember thinking how awesome they would be when he became a young man. He's 18 now, graduated, and the single player experience has completely deteriorated. We have NO options, much less any better ones. I've sank over $1400 into iRacing, so yeah, I think it's pretty good. But man, I yearn for a good 'ole Nascar Career mode, like the original Heat, or Dirt to Daytona. Heck, even EA's 2002 Thunder career was a blast. I bought all the junk that's been put out in since, not a single one has delivered. I quit buying after the new Nascar heat franchise let me down. I just installed NR2003 tonight. Desperate times. Lengthy rant, but yes, How can this be?? :)
They captured the "feel" of racing. Fancy graphics and a zillion options don't matter if it doesn't pull you in. Amazing work by Papyrus eighteen years ago.

When i open the game the grey box appears but after it loads a error log appears with a bunch of warnings saying things like "attempting to unroll the loop" and all of that how do i fix this?
Delete d8 before running nr2003.exe. My jaw dropped to the floor when I saw how different the game felt and I picked up a few more frames to 110+. Thank you.
Downloaded this, it went well. Then I couldn't start iRacing after this, so I deleted the files and Uninstaller them. Then I restarted my computer. It crashed 2-3 times while loading now it's now it's doing funky stuff while loading. Great..

NewWorld I remember there's something in the inis that deals with shadows. Ill have to mess around with it. the new update and the way the shadows are in the game don't jive , but the game would love absolutely perfect if the shadows worked. I can imagine how great it would look with the fencing shadows working! It's worth looking into
How weird you got 7fps with your rtx 3080 horsepower?? How’s your gpu usage/load before vs after dx9 mod? I think maybe due to low usage on your gpu in dx8(?) thus causing low framerate?
I did everything that you did in this video about 5 times, but when I open the game it closes out just as the game starts to load. Cannot see the problem so if you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.:)
Jakub Smetana You can turn something on called "performance mode" when you go into settings of the effects in game to speed up load times significantly.
The reason it's not working for some is because you need to put the DLL file in your Syswow64 folder (if you have windows 7). The install program only installs the reshade files and folders to your nr2003, but apparently put's the DLL file wrong for some users. It worked for me when I put the DLL file in Syswow64
NewWorld thanks man! I got it to work but i had to hookup a usb keyboard for it to work. Also i subbed man and would it be possible to show a tutorial of tour settings??
ok had a problem with this like some installed as directed 03 would not run so deleted dll game ran so helped a friend install it his game started but no graphics updates as shown so now im sitting there thinking why the same problem not the same cards so I installed without dll then took dll copy to directory and dam thing worked so install the dll last then run game
im having a bit of trouble, maybe its something quick you can help with. Some of the alternate mods i have have blurry cockpits and billboards, and portions of the cars. Some do not. Im kinda lost. Thanks in advance!
Sucks that the shadow on cars don’t work on dx9, that option made the game realistic since they’re barely shadows on the car that are from the structures

Anyone know a link to download dx11 mod for the game? I want to run Reshade on my game because i need AO effect & some other effects to get better visual BUT also i don’t want to disable the On-car shadows from structures option just due to dx9 issue on this. Of course I think my gpu is strong enough to pullup over 60fps+ (my gpu is rx580).
Will this work pretty much exactly the same for rFactor? I know for rFactor I am already using DX9 (or maybe even 10 now, I forget), but to be able to adjust all of these settings would be pretty awesome. Thanks, great tutorial!
I dont think it works still as of 9-28-19 tried it everything installed fine just gave me an error message after everything loaded in game, maybe shouldn't have tried it after so much time has passed.
Felixeur personally I just started doing a "career mode" starting from 2001 Busch north cars and I'm now in the 2002 craftsman truck series and will be looking to retire by gen 6 era like now.
I mean, honestly? I would say just spend a good chunk for even newer games to run at 60fps all the time. Take iRacing as an example for this. Constant 60fps on iRacing will allow you to do 60fps on NR at all times. But also take into consideration that NR is super old and not meant for what we're throwing at it at this point. I have an i5 8600k Nvidia GTX 1060 (6gb version) I spent around 750+ dollars on my computer. So I would say any computer around the 800-1200 dollar range would be the best bet.
@@epfrisco8910 Definitely save more if you can. Don't buy a 500 dollar computer. It's not worth it. Trust me. I did it in the past and like a year down the line, you'll want something better.
I believe I have the 4k sky textures that someone uploaded a long time ago. NR2003 4k Skies. There are day versions aka cloudy and sunny, and night versions aka clear and cloudy. I hope this helps.
the nr2003 menu has always been low fps but yea it loads a lot of shit. this is a program that many, many games can use. it's not a one size fits all program.
I have it installed, it says reshade now installed press home for tutorial, but pressing home does nothing. I tried shift+f2 also and nothing. Do you know why that might be?
@@NewWorldCT Sorry to be so buggy but for some reason I have none of the effects that you have. I think I accidentally clicked uncheck all in the installation. Is there anyway to get the effects without reinstalling?
