The NREMT exam is a cognitive exam that students must pass in order to gain national EMS certification. This NREMT certification allows the student to now apply to become licensed in their state. The NREMT exam is broken up into 5 main sections that you must study in order to pass the NREMT exam.
I have personally worked with tens of thousands EMS students over the years helping them pass their NREMT exam and this is what I have learned working with them.
I wanted to create a video showing you the biggest mistakes students make studying for the NREMT exam. By the way this includes every level of certification: EMR, EMT, AEMT and Paramedic.
If you received a below passing or near passing on NREMT, I recommend following the advice in this video and lengthen your study time, I'm here to help. If you failed NREMT, whether it was below passing or near passing, these NREMT tips will assist you.

Thank you so much Evan, I passed my NREMT TEST on the 21st of December this was my second attempt and going to the library to study and watching your videos really it made click and helped in passed, And just in time to submit my certificate in to attend the fire academy.

Overall I just want to thank Paramedic Coach and Limmer Education (both free in RU-vid). I passed the NREMT just primarily with Paramedic Coach’s content and questioning giving by Limmer.

I actually got an above passing for cardiology and trauma my first attempt last month. Had near passing on medical an OB and below passing on airway and freaking operations?? I needed 950 and scored 930. Now I'm wishing I had actually studied and so here I am. Good content and some useful tips. Thanks!

Do you always have to have an OPA or NPA when ventilating the pt??

if the airway is patent by itself with a head tilt chin lift then no.

Usually when ventilating ur patient isn’t gonna be able to protect there own airway at that point bc there incapacitated most likely. This is why we need the opa or npa

That was me! I started in December of last year and knew nothing going in. If you know absolutely nothing about the human body, it might be a lot but it really is pretty basic info (to become and EMT, I mean). I am so excited to keep learning and look forward to this career, so I recommend it!
