I wish matches like this came to the south east. While I would not be very competitive, I would love to shoot NRL hunter just for the fun of doing it.

Though more aimed at hunters, and better than PRS, I am not sure if it will regularly draw the once or twice a year hunter.

I load more than eight rounds in a mag, that way if I have a misfire or accidentally eject a live round…I don’t have to hand load a round to fix it. Granted, that would only come into play if I miss all my shots anyway…which isn’t very likely but you never know. I always load nine or ten in my mags.

What pack is Ryan using on his Stone Glacier frame? I've got one of their frames, and his pack is looking like a good size option for matches. Great video, BTW. Nice shooting!

I've attended a few rimfire hunter matches, and they are by far my favorite to shoot. Great to see the breakdown of your prep, and some behind the scenes details. It is nice to see more examples of teams running stages and how each of you operate. Looking forward to the rest of the episodes on this match

I've tried my hand at three gun and PRS type events in the past, I was never that thrilled with either, but this NRL Hunter Series scratches me right where I itch. I need to learn more about rifle setups and limitations within the series and which calibers guys are running. I think I could get into this as it combines my love of hunting with long range shooting but removes some of the "gamer" types and vibes from the scenario which I never enjoyed. Thanks for sharing this video and if y'all should ever offer a class that focuses on this out at Ranch TX be sure to let us know, I would attend in a heartbeat. Please do more NRL Hunter videos, I am hooked.

It's a super fun format. As long as you don't get caught up in the "competition" aspect of it, it is a great way to train you on simple things like gear management, finding targets, making a wind call, and shooting from natural/field shooting positions! Thanks for watching!

That much noise and moving around on a deer at 240 and elk at 500, means those animals are gone before they ever put the cross hairs on the vitals. I also don't like the competition seems to promote a center of mass hit... Which would be a gut shot on both as well. I'm not sure picky about the predators, but for these two, it should be a reactive vital insert on the silhouette. Something else should be done to judge noise discipline and concealment, as that's true to actual hunting. I know you guys don't set the format, just my observations on a competition that's supposed to mimic hunting. Otherwise looks like a lot fun and a good way to train. Nice content guys.

Also I may just be poor but I don't hunt with rigs like that lol. The fanciest rigs are usually coyote hunters 😂

Thanks for doing this! I found you while searching for NRL content and love the format you have here. This will be my first year doing any form of competitive shooting, so I'm trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible. This series is going to go a long way towards helping me understand NRL matches and see what I might encounter. Again, thanks!

Does the time remaining per stage reflect on your score? If two teams get all impacts but one team finishes 30 seconds earlier, do they win that stage?

Honestly light rifles suck for everything but carrying lol Edit to add....to clarify I mean thst light rifles show how much the shooter does or doesn't suck lol 😆 .... I know when I was looking for a light 300wsm for sale I'd find one.......cause too many people buy them.....either can't take the recoil.....or can't shoot it....so they sell them.....lol
