Can't wait to see Tripple OG acting. My middle kid was playing Rugby League and getting lead roles doing Musical Theatre at the same time and his footy team mates would have been shocked if they saw him do his Musical Theatre thing because they'd have no idea he could sing, dance and act. It was strange as a father going from the footy shed environment to the change room of a Theatre, watching my son go from cleaning the mud off himself to doing his own make-up in front of a Hollywood mirror.
Bizza is more influential than 90% of nrl props!!! On average props play 40 minutes a game. Bizza plays 80 minutes! the whole game!!! But there's only one Brian To'o!! 🙏🏽👊🏽he's unique!
Boys love the pod, it’s great to get honest opinion and insights. Being a mad QLD fan I used to hate the OG but this pod has completely changed my opinion of him. Met you both after the GF last year and you both were great to talk to and Mase gave me heaps to time and respectfully asked other blokes to wait when they interrupted. This will be the most rated NRL show soon enough… Adios 360 lol
Did you know: in order to prepare for his role as an ex footy player in Sunny Nights, Hollywood actor William Mason played over 300 NRL games and won the premiership in 2004
From a snotty nose 7 year old growing out the fro to match my favorite player Willie Mason to watching him speak about the game in such a manner thats refreshing and now onto the big light of the movie scene! Big ups OG! Love from 🇵🇬 Guys, would love the have you guys in Port Moresby. You dont understand the level of love you will get here. Cheers boys! L1 from Day1 (PS. I was hard on you boys from leaving YKTR but eff it! Emotions aside, CONTENT IS KING!!!!
Loved to hear you going ahead with the acting stuff Mace, big props and so happy to see. You were a big reason that I started watching this sport when I was younger and so great to see you getting the positive attention with the acting, 360 gigs (telling them whats what) etc. Really shows the growth of the game that same as NFL and WWE etc our players are going on to do acting work and being wider influence in content creation. Hope you keep going with it, seeing your big personality on bigger screens is a must in my eyes, especially if we want to see big personalities on the screen playing now do similar in the future
Needs to have a close look at his management who are taking a cut of his cheque for starting this drama, unless it was all part of the plan and he made a little bunsen on the side
Penrith are giving their players opportunities to make generational wealth and deserve credit for that. Taking predominantly local juniors (including country scouts through their junior systems) and putting them in position to make bank either at the club or elsewhere is massive for the area, an area where plenty of kids come from humble beginnings. Panthers fans might be salty that their home grown stars continue to leave year after year, but we should be happy as these players have all given the club as much as the club has given them, and it will the next To’o, Luai or Fisher-Harris a chance to do the same.
While other clubs lie down doing nothing for the game for decades take over our talent while no compensation for the money we put in the juniors. Yeah great system!
@Flobastino241 I know, however it doesn't negate the situation that many try to bush off on how development clubs like the Panthers, Broncos, Eels, Titans, Knights, Warriors, Tigers (if they ever care about Campbelltown instead of Leichhardt) get their talent that they've brought up and invested money into their potential to be taken by clubs who don't do anything for themselves, reaping the benefits with no compensation given
Agree the NRL needs to do something to incentivize teams developing their own local talent, but I don’t think it should be in the form of salary cap dispensation - if they did Penrith would either win 10 in a row the way they are going or St Mary’s and Blacktown would be the next two expansion teams. Maybe every time a local junior goes to another club, that other club needs to make a contribution towards the players junior rugby league district?
The Big Triple will crush it as an actor. The big man's charisma and swagger will definitely show through. Love the poddy legends and let's go Doggies 💪💪💪
Malo uso’s!! Love the poddy and been following since levels had 846 RU-vid subscribers. Really love listening to the stories that both of you share from back in the hay days. Would we be able to get some of those once or twice a month? As always, love tuning in. Let’s push!!! THERE’S LEVEL’S TO THIS SHIIIII🥳
Got a guest Dawwwwgggg of the week for you lads. Jessica Fox! 4 Olympic Games. Finally got the gold medals after claiming silver and 2 bronze in past 3 Olympic Games. Dawg!
Congratulations Willie! Will we see you as Max, in Mad Wille 4 ❤😂 My favourite poddy, fan before Levels and always dedicated to following you great men!
Everyone talks about fair-weather Wahz fans jumping off the bandwagon... and yet why hasn't it happened yet? Why can't the championship winning Auckland Blues rugby union team get fans in seats but the Wahz keeps selling out despite having a rough season? I honestly think the Wahz have done the almost impossible and have cracked the code: it's fun to be a Wahz fan, it feels good and whether by good luck or good management they've created that culture. I feel like win or lose as long as the team plays with heart fans will stick by them.
I think everyone has the Wahs as their second fave team. Particularly what they sacrificed through COVID - they deserve salary cap dispensation for that I rekon (similar to when a foundation club starts up in other leagues), but they were able to overcome it and have success last year so the opportunity for that is probably gone. Plus, being on the other side of the ditch their team doesnt have a local rivalry with anyones team so easy to get behind them. And cant forget the entertaining style of footy they always play. Up the Wahs!
Awesome for Willie, excited to see how your next chapter goes, is there any way for us to watch this series in NZ? Or is Stan only available for AU? And yes Lilyworld is the pregame spot for many on a Wahs game day! So good to hear that Bulldog supporter coming over, enjoy the game day experience!💙💚❤️ #UpTheWahs
Willie thank you for recognising the good humans the panthers are producing, its one thing to be a great footy player but to also have great attributes as a human is really important and a lot of tbose players have had to overcome a lot of adversity off tbe field to get where they are today. Recognising that they dont come from generational wealth but because of footy can change their families lives is incredible. The fact they have remained great blokes and now role models and people young kids want to be is probably the best part of it. Would be great to hear dome more stories about players who have overcome challenges and adversity to get where they are as i believe its the most important part of life....being a good human with a moral compass and the dedication to maintaining those values. Love how honest you and Justin are it is what makes the show what it is. Congratulations on all your success and for doing it your way, legends 💪
It's LEVELS time ⏲️ baby. UP DA LEVELS. Huge congratulations to Triple OG, not only is he killing it on 360, now he will be killing it on STAN. Huge congrats to Scope who is it killing it on SEN. Scope should be on channel 9 & 360.
THE FKN BOYS!! Sup usos, love the podcast. Just wanted to say I think the TRIPLE OG hit the nail on the head about if Talagi signs to the Panthers I reckon he goes to Turuva’s wing but as a Panthers fan I honestly pray they put Jack Cole next to Clez cause honestly that kid is like the palagi version of Luai and he desrves to be in that starting side, also praying for Bizza to stay 😭🙏🏾 Congrats tho on the role in the big lights TRIPLE OG!! Love ❤️🤟🏾
Love a bit of levels, been watching since the beginning and love the insights. Credit to mase for the acting gig, thats heaps exciting. Want to give massive ups to Horo though, as much as Mase feels like the face and name of levels I feel like Horo is the brain and the heart
Hey lads, love the pod and your non biased, no bullshit approach to things! Would love to hear your thoughts on Kini from the titans? I feel this game against the broncos was the game where he ‘arrived’. It may have gone un-noticed but the second he returned from the sin bin he went into the middle and demanded a run, and scored a try minutes later. That kind of thing I feel can’t be coached, the kid has that dawg in him and instills so much hope in me for the titans future.
Thanks for the content guys. Makes the grind at work a breeze for a few hours a week. Can you guys comment on playing with a fullback like Reece Walsh and how that having such a “superstar” at the back can make the game a lot harder for the other outside backs. Although he’s very quick and can throw a good cutout pass he has also taken away from the other players expressing themselves this year and getting battered a lot receiving hospital passes from him. It must be frustrating when he is letting in more points than he brings in and isn’t there to have your back in defence. He’s constantly out of position and he’s never in the frame when the opposition get a try. Sometimes he’s trying to argue with the ref or act when the ball is literally in play. You wouldn’t see this from players like Teddy, Gutho or Pappi. I think if he played a game like that at Melbourne, and they had a half decent replacement in the squad, he would be doing a stint in reserve grade for the rest of the year after his defensive efforts and attitude this year. I think Penrith expose the deficiency’s in Walsh’s play in the GF last year and NSW and the rest of the comp really capitalised on it this year.
Got a question for you boys, with the Cowboys vs Broncos next weekend, how would you compare the tenures of Todd Payten vs Kevvie Walter, and Townsend vs Reynolds. For the coaches, both teams were at the bottom when they took over in 2021 and have had 1 great year in 2022 and 2023 respectively, followed by down years for Cowboys last year, and broncos this year. For Townsend and Reynolds, Reynolds is a class above Townsend and when fit, makes the broncos a top contender, but he has had a lot of injuries and missed games. Whereas Townsend has played almost every game (best ability is availability) and has played his part each week and been the perfect mentor for the younger boys up north. Love the poddy boys. It's the only one I listen too in it's entirety every week. I love how the tripple OG calls its how it is unapologetically, and Hoz takes a more subtle/diplomatic approach. Keep it up boys!
Congrats Willie! keen to watch the show!! Lads if there were a south island team introduced would it make sense to then change the Warriors name back to Auckland rather than NZ since they will no longer be the only team representing New Zealand in the comp? Up the Doggies!!!
Hey boys much love from Townsville, keep up the fantastic work 💪 Got a question for you ya, been a fan of Saint George Illawarra Dragons since 1998. Watching them beat Melbourne in Melbourne has been the highlight of the season for me. What do you guys think as players can really turn a season and a club around? Much love 🤙
Huge fan of the pod lads, here’s a question in regards to the triple og’s comment about instant gratification / social media - do you think we will see more of the younger generation of players seeking to leave struggling clubs that gave them their opportunity to go to better clubs for that “instant” success rather than earn their stripes so to speak.
For the next golf day here’s a good name -Jordan “Big Mike” Mailata from the Philadelphia eagles defensive tackle. Or Bam Bam Tuivasa-Sheck, or Alexander Volkanovski. All Australian athletes that may want to be involved.
Hey boys love the POD, I listen to it while I’m driving my truck for work every week since mid last year. First of all congrats to the x3 OG for the TV show role. I’ve loved Willy since I saw him playing with his Afro as a kid and he has honestly made me love the bulldogs as my 2nd fav team, (Behind the phins). My question is this, should Tedesco have been sin binned in their game against the dolphins, when he deliberately dived out of marker not square to stop the phins from scoring. Seems much worse than api a few weeks ago, and was a big momentum stopper for a close game.
Keep up the good work lads just a question regards kick offs and kicking in general.. With the recent situation with warriors havings to use CHT kicking as the 3rd choice kicker and the NRL wanting to get rid of kick offs for safety reasons. What are your thoughts on NRL incorperating spealty Kickers for goals and adding a new NFL style kickoff having the landing zones say between the Deadball and 20m line with the defending team on the 30 mtr line only moving once the attacking team catches the ball. You save the kick off as well as the back fence hitups and I guess you lesson the impact now the defending team wont have a 50m run up. With short kickoffs you would have to declare them to the ref
Hey boys would love your thoughts on some of the acting we’ve seen this year and in particular a couple this weekend, walsh gets a pat on the back from Brian Kelly and stays down for minutes. Hudson young clips kikau and he carries on like he’s been shot? Its a tough watch at times
Last one boys: will Samoa have the capability to challenge England, New Zealand for the #2 spot in the Rugby league World Cup? Hell with the amount of origin talent they have these days could they nudge and challenge Australia?
Boys I need your opinion why does the great Willie Tonga look in better shape now than he did in his playing days. Much love from an L1 from before day one
Good on you triple OG Wiremu. You can be an awesome action actor, I think you could play a bad ass villain. Man you are going to be starring with the Rock and Jason Statham. Million dollar pay day boi yah
At $650k per year To'o is the highest paid winger in the game. Play for Penrith add $100k a year from Origin for the next decade. Add some local sponsorships 100k a year. Panther for life perks and GOAT retirement, 850k per year. Luai can get a million because thats the going rate for an elite half. To'o is already getting paid as an elite winger. No brainer.
360 highlighted that Paramatta give their players clauses in their contract which allow them to leave. NRL should enforce rules that clauses like that don’t exist. Just makes it too easy for clubs up the top end of the ladder to poach from clubs at the bottom. They’ve lost 3 spine players already from their Premiership winning Jersey Flegg side. Take the decision away from these poorly ran clubs or we’ll quickly enter an EPL situation where it’s the same 6 teams at the top every year.
Hey boys. Lots of chat re the Val Holmes situation suggesting the Cowboys are shopping him. Interesting to note that Todd Payten has said publicly several times including on SEN that it was Val's management who requested the right to negotiate with other clubs. This re-frames the conversation in my opinion as it suggests Val might be unhappy and possibly looking for a chance to play fullback elsewhere, rather than it being a salary cap crunch at the Cowboys.
Hey boys, loved the pod since yktr. Not a question but just a topic of discussion. I wanna give a shout out to the turn out in Perth. And I know wiremu gives a big old “YUCK” every time perth is mentioned and I understand it’s for the time and toll it takes on players with the travel but I think you guys are sleeping on Perth. A 20k turn out and i guarantee 40-50% weren’t wearing dolphins and roosters jerseys. I think with the amount of ex pats from the eastern states raising families in WA and the sheer love of sport over here not to mention the mining weeks on weeks off culture the turn outs for the expansion team will have a consistent attendance even for the fact it won’t matter what day a game lands on. If it’s on an off week people will just turn up. The younger generation and the people sitting on the fence will have a team to support now and within 5-10 years could seriously turn into a power house. Hbf park has enough realestate for an upgrade to capacity and the mining money will make that happen if needed. The fan base will grow and revival the wahs, storm, broncos, south’s and raiders in terms of passion and there’s no doubt about it. You can go as far to say you’ll see a lot of players wanting to be 1 club players because the lifestyle here is underrated and that’ll help keep talent and build a competitive team. It’s the best city I’ve been to by far and I hope mase is still yelling “yuck” in a couple years when it comes to Perth, but not because it’s a shit trip, but because of the same reasons he hates playing storm in Melbourne. I traveled 6 hours to go see the game I grew up playing and I’d do it again. I can’t wait for the Perth bears. Up the doggies.
The league should make it a solid rule no club should shop a player around from his contract and all players must see out their contract . All this player movement is nuts and the supporters have had enough.
Couple weeks ago I was walking through the city and I had to stop and wait while some people were filming in a shady alley way. Once they let me through I looked in the alley way and saw the big fella looking back out with his neck tatt and all.
Biza has a deeper connection than just footy with Critter and Rome - it’s a deep spiritual connection through Christianity. Still, he deserves more money
