Willie Mason & Justin Horo present Levels Podcast, twice a week reviewing & previewing all the NRL games also giving their best tips.
Willie Mason is a former Kangaroo and NSW representative, is considered one of the most successful front rowers in NRL history. In 2004, he was a part of the famous 'Dogs of War' team that won the Grand Final, and he also received the Clive Churchill Medal during that match.
Justin Horo is another former NRL player who played 120 games for Parramatta and Manly from 2010 to 2015. In addition to playing in the UK Super League, he also represented the New Zealand Māori team.
Hey boys I’m Marcus love the pody boys started watching this season just curious on your thoughts about the potential next season standings and what teams might rise up or fall off, up the doggies.
WE NEED LEVELS LIVE SHOWS ACROSS AUSTRALIA!!!! Let’s get you lads on your. That would be a good time. Each stop you should give all the fans a chance to win a round of golf with you guys at each location! Legends boys, the panthers 🩵
Chur the brothers , with the whole blow up over KP initially pulling out if kangaroos, I was just wondering , what was the difference from Jamie Lyon pulling out of rep duties? Or did he still play kangaroo’s? Also a bit of a giggle, one of the bros I used to live with was from the Penrith area, and he said even as a kid , Rome luai was a smart ass cheeky fulla, and people got shitty and wanted to give him a hiding at touch and league, but he was always too fast or would step them then laugh at them, keep it up brothers
8:15 Mase saying "you know your shit" is all the validation I need! ☺️Hahaha "DON'T GET IT TWISTED" I am a Panthers supporter but I watch all the games and Doggies are my 2nd team! Api's no try definitely came to mind when I saw Katoa's! Thank you for responding to my comment! 🙏🏼
kia ora Koro Horo and Talofa Chief Viliamu, question about the the nrl immortals, seeing the immortal list i can see a clear pattern, all the immortals are australian. Do you ever see a Kiwi being selected as an immortal?, personally i think a kiwi will never make it due to not being able to play state of origin, all we have is NRL games and international tests, do you think this is unfair that aussies are getting selected because of origin and what do kiwis have to do to match a origin level player, cheers
Regarding the NAS ruling and NRL argument. Force = mass x acceleration the listed weight and telstra (top speed tracker) indicate that nelson is using about 100-200 Newton's more. Than Val Holmes example. However this doesn't factor in the opposing players speed and movement. additionally the factor of surface area taking the force. Nelson may have a larger surface area that is directing this force that a smaller body therefore, less dangerous and it in dispersed over the body not just head. So without all the data from all players and gps tracking (unsure if this is mentioned) is an impossible argument to make. Just my opinion. Enjoy the show. Keep up the good work.
Can’t agree with you Mase, I’m with you Del Horo. He shows the ball behind himself. Talakai cant see the ball. Tell me you’re not going to smoke someone who doesn’t turn their back to the opposition
Tallis is a flog who’s done nothing but whinge and complain about the Broncos since Bennett benched him in his final game in 2004. Hasn’t lifted a finger to help the club and has actively helped other clubs poach Brisbane’s junior talent, yet he’s happy to pop into the sheds and raid the esky when they’re going well. Maguire wouldn’t want or need Tallis’s help.
Gordies gotta stop sooking at some point - yeah it’s your friend, yeah it’s sad but I feel like Walter’s will be over it 6 seasons before tally will. With how brutal he is on other coaches you’d think he’d realise he looks a little hypocritical carrying on for this long.
Hey lads, been watching since day one and love the poddy. It has become a weekly ritual for me. I Had a thought since the dally ms were just on and wanted to hear your opinion on it. What are your thoughts on a player of the month maybe even coach of the month award as something else the players can strive for during the season, similar to soccer it gives players who might not be in the starting team or even young guns who play a month of really good footy, it will give them something to show for it. I think this would be a nice inclusion for players like Moses (Parra fan sorry Willie) or even Cleary who had injury’s but had a month and or more of good footy. Keep up the amazing work boys!!!
Boys question for the next poddy, saw the content of trellmit at the levels golf day, was it just the video or is he already into week 3 of pre season cause he looks trimmed asf. Can’t wait for 2025 get back szn
Hot take. If Bellamy wins the GF he retires at the Storm and signs 3 years for the Blues. Or both Ivan and Nathan leave at the end of 2025, Nathan dominates Origin and signs with Warrington for 3 years to follow love. Ivan then signs long term Blues role.
Bit long boys (sorry) and harping on about the Broncos stuff but I have some good mail that I think will bow the situation nicely. The Madge situation is perfect. Kevie was brought in to teach this playing group what it means to be a bronco and Madge is here to be a long term future coach. After Wayne left and the whole 2015 GF squad had moved on seibold came in and they won a spoon with a baby Broncos (similar to 2008-2015) when a coach was not a bronco die hard Lockyer retired and griffin was in charge the “baby broncs” reid, milf, hunt and gillet etc. where young and couldn’t put it together until Wayne came back. So an old boy needed to come and instil the broncos swagger. The problem with the current squad is they are far too ill disciplined. It works with Reynolds as he is the old head that can steer the young bucks around but without him the broncos lose largely because without the 7 they lack direction in getting to the right spots and often have very poor end of sets. What Madge will bring is proper analytical coaching rather than just passion and set the club up for when the halfback leaves. The club bought Reynolds to be the rudder while Kevie motivates and last year they were lucky Reynolds was healthy. Now Madge is the rudder. Now the mail Kevie was supposed to go end of 23 that was always the plan but the gf bought him an extra year. Broncos are going very very hard at Sam Walker to create a dynasty and replace roosters in the big 3 and have/are about to lock Coby Black up to a long term deal if the Walker situation fall through. Madge is going to be the next Bellamy/Robinson/Cleary and will coach the broncos to a long successful reign. He is the first proper successor to Wayne Bennett the club has had.
Yo lads. Day oner, first time commentator. Had a cheeky trip up north and played at uncles old stomping ground, Toronto. I could only squeeze in 9 but had a fun a fuck time with the stick. I wanted to ask, referring back to the swans not being able to play at the MCG. Did you boys prefer to play at large stadiums or suburban grounds? Take it easy. Ty
Lol I love our underrated our Melbourne Storm forwards are. They're continuously overlooked, or passed off as 'no-names'. It's played into our hands perfectly! NAS obviously adds so much to our team, however the other guys who did a job during the year while he wasn't playing, were absolutely stupendous. When we beat the Panthers in Rnd 1, we didn't have NAS playing. We also had no Munny, no Blore, no Howarth. We're a completely different beast now. This game will be light work for the Stormz! 🍺
100% - NAS is a great addition but he’s not vital to the teams success like Munster or Hughes are. Melbournes got a lot of depth so I wouldn’t worry too much about missing Nelson
NRL 5 weeks for Nels miss the Grand final that's 1 game let him, or Melbourn decide if he plays for the Kiwis that's 3 more games if that happens Nels will only have to miss round 1 and it will weaken the Kiwis.
"Love you poddy/podcast boys, up the wahs genuine question: what did think of of Teddy's personality" - every cuck toss pot trying to get a comment mentioned in the podcast
Thoughts on Hughes getting docked points for a ref running into him in a game that was wild to me. Also how good was the haka and tapine joining in when it wasn’t even his teammate really shows the blokes class
Willie Mason a Smokey as origin coach. He would do better than the other contenders imo. If I was a player I’d definitely listen up and go hard if Willie coached me. A bit of Wayne Bennett in Willie’s wisdom. No way to any of the current names they are throwing around as they don’t have strong enough personalities or an aura like Willie.
Gordie won't be the only one after Madge if he doesn't get instant results. The Brisbane media and fans will crucify him being who he is. I'm no Brisbane fan but I think Kevvie was hard done by. Based on the current rules with a particular focus on what happened in Origin this year with Sualii, NAS deserves to miss the GF. Apart from what happened in the roosters game he has a poor history of high contact. Go The Panthers!! Yeo for MOM.
Big fan of the poddy lads , a question for you both . If you could build a player based on passing , kicking , footwork , IQ , personality what players would you choose past or present to build this player ( eg for passing I’d go with jarrod Mullen probably has the best 20 meter pass I’ve seen , footwork ponga etc etc )
What an interesting question! For passing I'd go Andrew Johns, kicking Nathan Cleary, Footwork Matt Bowen, IQ Johnathan Thurston, Personality Cameron Smith
