NSFAS applications to open on Friday: Sihle Lonzi, Asive Dlanjwa

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme will open funding applications for the 2025 academic year on Friday.
Higher Education and Training Minister, Dr Nobuhle Nkabane, has announced that Matric learners can start applying for NSFAS loans or bursaries.
She says in the last few years, the student population has grown, along with demand for financial assistance.
Nkabane says the NSFAS application system has gone through several changes and enhancements, to ensure a seamless experience for applicants.

2022, 2023, 2024 is still unpaid To some students. Evictions are happening everyday due to non-payment. Allowances are still outstanding too. NSFAS reps at varsities have advised that there's no money, budgets at NSFAS are depleted.

@amangileqwabaza5703 True. Furthermore, NSFAS officials must perform their duties. A building is not going to do the work. It's the people behind computers who must execute their functions. These days a person could be sitting on their toilet seat 🚽 & still process a transaction. Jobs are scarce, and most people in jobs are complacent & lazy.

@pheladi6348 yeah that's true. People need to do thier jobs, i think everyone or most of us are lazy but it's the accounting or consequence management that makes people work and meet targets which is lacking or ineffective in most government spheres.
