As a member for over 3 years now I can vouch for the quality of the instruction and the vocabulary acquisition method in this system.

I would recommend BMA to anyone wanting to learn Greek (and/or Hebrew). However, Darryl has really put together a great deal here.

Been learning the alphabet. Just started reading some greek NT mainly to help learn the letters. I love how phonetic the language is (for the most part). Generally speaking you can begin recognizing and pronouncing words just by knowing the alphabet with a few caveats. Also I love that the word order, from what I’ve seen so far, basically matches english. Gives me a lot of hope for taking on as big of a task as learning a new language.

Greek doesn’t really care much for word order. Certainly it often follows subject - verb - object like English but as you progress you’ll find that it really doesn’t care what order the words are in. Word order can be used to front load the more important elements of a sentence.

Hypothetically, if someone worked from the easiest to hardest NT books, and is able to read them all, are they reviewing all the vocab for the 27 books of the NT every day?

I've been told that 2 Thess chapter 2 is badly translated in English, so can you provide a accurate translation in English so I know what it's saying? Or is their a better translation in English I can use? It concerns the first 8 verses.

2:1 We ask you bretheran by our Lord, Jesus Christ’s arrival and our gathering together onto Him 2 for you aren’t to be agitated in your thoughts nor are you to be frightened whether by spiritual wind or by spoken word or by writing even if by us, even if the Lord’s day is at hand 3 no one would deceive you not in any way since if the departure would not arrive first and the outlaw man, the destructive son would be revealed 4 the self exulted above every mentioned god and venerable, resister, therefore sitting himself down in God’s Temple setting forth himself that he is God. 5 do you not remember that while I was being with you, I was mentioning these to you? 6 and now you perceive his own restrainer in his own time 7 for the mystery is already working the outlawry only the restrainer remains until out of the midst, he would be gone 8 and then the outlaw whom the Lord Jesus will end by His oral spirit and will cancel by His own arrival’s appearance

@@rinkevichjm I in verse 3 the word (departure) is not a accurate interpretation. This link to the following video will explain it very well along with other pre trib problems. Seven pre trib problems as compared to pre wrath. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xwXoMNpOhos.html

@@MrDilley777 the word αποστασία means a “departure from standing, position”. Paul details departing from faithfulness in 1Tim4:1-5 where he associates it with rejecting the God created foods for reception (with-)in Eucharist. Furthermore, the restrainer here is probably St Peter after whose death, Nero went on a campaign of outlawry and eventually was taken down and replaced by Vespasian who toppled the Jewish control of the Roman imperial power, destroying the Temple. The Roman senate declared Nero an enemy of the people.

@@MrDilley777 the real problem is that if you did close reading you’d realize that the end came and it was post 7 years and preteristic.

Often paying money for something is a motivator to continue on the journey of learning to "get your money's worth". I have been a member of Biblical Mastery Academy for 11 months and know that the monthly charge is going to hit every month. That is one motivator to continue onto mastery. There are about 200 members of BMA who pay around $50 a month. It is the only practical way I know to memorize every word (~5,400 words) of the Greek New Testament. I passed the 2,000th word this month, which covers every word of 1, 2, 3 John, 1, 2 Thessalonians, Philemon, Colossians, Philippians, Ephesians, Galatians, Jude, James, and 5 chapters of the gospel of John. The ultimate goal is to read the Greek New Testament just like the an English translation. Is that money plus the investment of time worth it?
