2021 is the continued year of the nurse, highlighting their contributions to patient care and outcomes. One area of critical care nurse decision-making is centered on fluid administration. Questions remain about when to give fluid, the amount to administer, the type of fluid to use and when to stop giving it. This presentation will highlight the latest evidence to support decision-making on fluid resuscitation/de-resuscitation using clinical signs and symptoms as well as the latest technology.
