In May 2017, NTI announced a new initiative to bring together members of the transport industry and community to support the MND and Me Foundation and raise much needed funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Over just a few months, NTI restored a 1946 International Model K5 Rigid Truck, which was raffled for the MND and Me Foundation to help people living with the disease.
NTI's initiative raised a total of $55,020 for MND & Me Foundation.

Jeff Barber Bribie Island. When I was 17 and older, I used to drive an old ks5 Inter. just like that one. A slightly lighter shade of green, no doors, and an extended tray. Spent lots of time on maintenance and rebuilt the old flat head 6 once. Great work restoring that old unit. There was one on Bribie Island a few years ago, same green colour, not sure where it is now. It was for sale when i saw it. Great old work trucks, tough as nails.

I just stumbled across this doco on RU-vid. How great. I lost my mum to MND in 1988 at the age of 55. She fought the disease for 8 years, and as Wayne said, the mind was the last to go. Thank goodness this disease is receiving a lot more attention now than it did back then, and hopefully as a result, a cure will be found in the near future as this disease is truly horrific. A big congratulations to all that were involved in this project, they are very special people.

what an incredible series My stepfather owned a similar model with a tipper body it was the same green too!! I rode in it as a 6 year old Ive always loved old trucks!!Hope you do another video soon

I haven't commented before becouse I wanted to see the end resalts and i have to say between you Peeter & Don and every one involved with this magnificent rebuild of a beautiful old truck it's Fantastic, you have helped the wonderful MND charity well done guys and girls and a special shout out to Peeter & Don's family's for standing by these magnificent guys and to N,T, I,For every thing they have done too, What a great truck you have rebuilt gentlemen think you, is it possible to tell us how Wayne is at this stage please.

A very good restoration and electric windows, I think that was a good idea. Makes driving a lot easy, you don't want to stop on the side of the road and reach out to wind the passenger side window. Air con would have also be a good addition - by the new owner. You did leave the electrical side of the restoration out. Was it converted to 12 v, the making of the harnesses, the sourcing of those parts etc?
