The angry old man faces off against drywall Joey who is half is age and is ready to battle. Which strategy will pay off? The net rushes vs the baseline grinder! #realtennis #tennis #matchplay
Hello guys. Today my dog passed away. 13 years of amazing friendship and love with me and tennis balls (he was a bordercollie). I remembered the day Scott played versus MEP and how incredible he was, and latter he said his dog passed that day also. I love tennis and play it too so thanks for creating the new channel so we can still have those great matches so I can go with this hard time... Peace
So sorry to hear about your boy. What was his name? Jax was a border collie as well, and he was just the best. I am glad we can offer you some solace in a time of grief-thanks for letting us. Your dog sounds like he had a great life, and you were a big reason.
@@scottbroady3159 Thanks Scott! Tennis is a Beautifull sports that connects us to bigger and great things. His name was meant to be Buddy (like friend) but we like to call him Bary. He was the purest soul I have ever had contact in my life. One day I will go to the US and we can play tennis together I hope! Thank you!
Really great to see these two very good players handling the ups and downs of the game. Accepting missed balls and concentrating on the next one. Great content!
This is one of the things I love about tennis - you can have an incredible match, with lots of movement and high level play, across a significant age gap. Seeing that in action in matches like this makes me feel more positive as I head to 40 next year. Thanks for the channel - excited for it! And no, Mark is not a sociopath. Just some slight sociopathic tendencies. 😄
First time watching RT. I have been a viewer for a while of your other channel. Love the matches. I see people who play better than I do but yet make the same mistakes I make. I used to beat myself up for that but I've learned to let it go as the players in the matches do. That has helped me.
Thanks-this match was born at our sectionals trip over tequila shots. Joey was definitely up for it, and between the liquid courage and smack talk from the rest of the team, we agreed to make it happen.
We here. Thx for letting us know over on ET 🤜 Watching u all play makes me think I want to mix it up with you all...but a UTR of 9+ seems like I would get smoked!!
Wow that was high offense match !!! Scott is great to watch because he really utilizes all his tennis abilities and takes advantage of every opportunity. Joey looks like a cleaner player with smooth strokes, but it’s tricky when playing smart opponent who rushes the net like Scott. Great set so far Tiebreaker should be great
I miss a logo for the new channel. Apart from that, another good match. After a great forehand by Joey sb said he might have more weapons than Adam. Don't underestimate Adam. I remember some wins in spring on the ET channel. ;)
Great match play coverage ,Loved the new channel..🎾 Small query ,How you guys showing scores this video any special software & which camera do you prefer for shooting.?
For sure…sorry it came out wrong:) Joey has a huge serve and punishing groundies. It just felt like he didn’t find a comfort zone for much of that set……nerves? Court speed? Your game:) You played lights out those first 7+ games and it felt like you were dominating the set. Huge kudos to Joey for competing without playing his best and forcing the TB. The huge serve helps. Can’t wait to see the rest!
@@arvinsingh3637Didn’t mean to impugn your first post-It’s just that I was actually pretty surprised to be in that position! It was definitely a fun match to play, and Joey and I will definitely lace ‘em up again. He’s a great guy to see across the net.
I think a good take away from watching this is not to think too much about who you're playing or how they're doing. It doesn't really change much, and it only takes your focus off your game. Scott played really well early in the set, and I think Joey overconstrained himself by thinking too much about that and going for too much. IMO it helps to remember that you're only there to have fun, each serve is an opportunity, you only get so many. Just try to hold serve, hit cross court and enjoy every stroke. For me thats when I play the best. If you're enjoying a stroke, odds are you're really focused on it.
Looking at early part of match, Joey needs to get his returns deeper. Maybe do a better job of blocking serve back down the middle? Remember how Federer does it, he'll just simply return the ball down the middle taking all the pace off. Not saying I could do it against this 118 serve, but that's what's needed. Then Scott won't be coming to the net so much. I think maybe Scott's able to serve so big simply because he's strong, he just throws it up and fires it in. Look at his service motion, it doesn't really look like the pros.
Hi Ian, this is JR from Tampa, I have been watching your channel for a while now, I am visiting a friend In Madison, I would love to meet you and maybe get some tips, I play tennis for 8 years in and off and I am at aa solid 3.5 and my buddy Brandon who moved here from Tampa is at level 4.5 and we would love to meet you and hit some balls
Is this a tell:) I saw the highlights of a bad call but couldn’t see where it happened during the set or who made it. Either way, hopefully not late in that tb:)
Mark your gambling addiction is getting g out of hand! You’re gonna get way too yoked with all those push ups. Any more workout bets and those calves will get bigger too! 😂
