NTS-1 with Cathedral Reverb is AMAZING!
Today I'm taking my first leap into the world of custom user effects for the Korg NTS-1! Huge shoutout to QRPLife for suggesting I check out the Cathedral Reverb from Hammondegg Music! I had no idea what to expect, so I was completely mind blown be how good this reverb sounds! I can't wait to run some more instruments through it. Enjoy!

Super demo FB ! Yes, those logue-SDK from Hammondegg are awesome and free.. But people can gives a bit of money for the great work cause it's also based on donation ware ! If you give 10 usd for 23 sdk which do bread and butter, i think it's reasonable !(Sinevibes or DirtBoxSynth sdk are excellent but very expensive)

Love the content and watch your stuff daily! Your videos inspired me to get my own nts 1 few weeks ago. I’m a busy school teacher so don’t have too much extra time. 7:03 oh crud I might need a keystep. I had no idea the nts-1 could go lower with a button on a midi controller. I figured it was just stuck in the mids. You, sir, run an expensive channel. I gotta get that reverb, too. Nice.

I absolutely love the NTS-1. A great sounding synth but worth the money just for the effects alone. I need the Minilogue XD now because of the same plus the digital oscillator and the custom content available. Great video as usual.

Nice! There's a 'Volca Bass' osc that someone made. I use it all the time! See if you can find it, I'm definitely checking out the hammondeggs mods!

compared to all the high-priced effect devices, the nts doesn't really sound cheap, although it is. i think this little box is really great, your videos are too, keep it up.👌

Hi, do you know if any of the korg kaossilators, can be sync to the pocket operators? I know there are 3 different series, but I cant find any info. I hope you can help. Thank you

I don't believe they can be tempo synced, but they can definitely be hooked together!

Sounded great, bought an NTS-1, uploaded the user effect and found out the NTS-1 cannot deliver the required performance (I'm on fw 1.20). Audio output is stuttering/clicking. Did you run this on an older firmware version?

I'm a noob and am trying to have the NTS 1 effects on multiple Volcas. I have a Behringer Xenyx1002 mixer and a bunch of 1/8" to 1/4" cables. I tried to go from the NTS headphone out to the fx send on the mixer, but it isn't doing anything. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Cool video! This is really neat that you have focused on the NTS-1. You mentioned a possible tutorial on how to load sounds and effects into it, and that is something I would definitely be interested in seeing, although somewhat self-serving on my part. I've been thinking of getting one of these, but the uncertainty of how to get other sounds is one thing that has both intrigued me and at the same time made me a bit reluctant to go any further. Thanks so much for the great content. I'm finding it super informative, useful, and relevant for me.

@@charlesneuzilmusic7236 Just make sure you don't overpay. Retail is $99 USD, I wouldn't pay more than $109. Over the summer some places were trying to sell them for ~$150!

Thought my NTS-1 was not in order because I saw several videos making this huge sound out of a Microfreak. Then I discovered "Cathedral" on the display and did not find it inside. So I came here and will have to find out, where I find this and how I can load it. Thanks for making this!

Is it actually normal that the NTS-1 has a fairly quiet output? I have to make extreme adjustments to the mixer.

I'm honestly not sure how you would go about using the MPK to control the NTS-1, but I'd imagine there is a way to do it with the proper MIDI interface?

Try it with the model D, and the freak, then plug all that in a pignose.

are you running this mono? sounds very mono. other demos of the unit (and at least w/ stock reverb) do seem stereo though...

Great video! Can I ask how do you usually record stereo for the nts-1. It sounds great with spatial effect when I use headphones but whenever I record it through my audio interface , the sound is always straight from the middle though I applied reverb.

You need to make sure you're audio interface is actually a stereo in. If it's a pair of inputs, then you need to split the output of the NTS-1. Hope that helps!

@@FreeBeat I also just downloaded the same developer's "Cabernet" plugin, which is several different distortion/overdrive flavors bundled together. It sounds amazing on a Minilogue XD, but I'd love to hear it on an NTS-1's voices or to process external audio!

No, they are stereo unless the effect is specifically mono like the included mono delay.
