Hi I’m the auctioneer selling the bunker, my 3rd one I’m selling. Many thanks for your video and please let me know if you would like to see inside as I have a viewing next week before the auction. Please call SDL property auctions and ask for me. Jim! Thanks again 👍
If I remember correctly there was a sump under the vertical ladder for drainage so the hand pump can remove any percolated water there were aircraft silhouette posters on the walls and a bunk bed for sleeping - I cannot remember if there were any cooking facilities and I don't remember there being a toilet
Great video! Would you be happy for us to share this across our social channels to highlight the Bunker for sale at auction? We'd of course credit/tag you!
Stop advertising it to new people lol, I'm hoping to buy it on the cheap 😂. Myself and afew locals have rudimental plans drawn up with the idea to all chip in and restore it to semi-original condition.
Aha I think a lot of people want it, myself included, I’m sure restoration wouldn’t take much either it’s just an annoying site to allow people to visit.
@@Leock I plan on attending the next visiting day to check it out and measure it up properly so I can more accurately plan out the cost of everything. I know that there's some interest from people in London like the last owner was which I think will be the main challenge. I'd be more than happy to buy it to restore as a piece of history just for myself lol but if the costs balloon too high due to some city folk wanting a 'glamping' spot then I'd have to bail out. Thus why I'm trying to work with afew other locals so we can pool our money in together which would help minimise any potential sunk costs.
Not sure how but the one in Hucknall (Nottinghamshire) magically opened and a bunch of 16yr olds had some fun in one of them. Those 16yr old didnt know what was inside but after they jumped up and down ona steel bar a lot the lid magically opened....... Covered over now by the local farmer whos land it was on
