@@lstt89 they can carry MIRV’s too. It may not be as many nukes as a devoted silo, but it is a hidden threat that can do a lot

You really want to spam DDs actually, they are great missile interceptors once you get the tech. 1 CG and 6 DDs can basically not be touched except by torps.

If you want to form a battlegroup, just keep clicking the ship icons on the top left for deployment. Not sure if you need to hold shift, but this way you can select as much as you want for your current group and they are all deployed with one click, already set to follow the first ship you selected in the list.

I believe that the landing ships (the ones that can transport marines) also allow nearby ships to resupply no matter where they are in the world

are nuclear armed battleships not a thing in this game or are they not viable?

Don't know. But the realistic way to make a modern nuclear armed battleship would involve rain/coil guns and/or long range missiles. Which could use non-nuclear payloads too. An interesting question though would be what the battleship's armor would be like, as in an ideal world, your battleship should be able to ignore at least one anti-ship missile hit to anywhere on the main belt. So maybe warship-grade ERA in addition to whatever other advanced armor tech you can fit in? Obviously, point defense is key too, but historically battleships are meant to be able to actually slug it out with enemy warships, so it should be designed with the intention of soaking up most of what a smaller ship can hurl at it without issue. And yes, I know that in the real world we have moved away from the battleship and have deemed it obsolete. But if we had progressed otherwise, one can only imagine the offensive and defensive systems a battleship would have now.
