We have come full circle. First we got chemicals that were janky, then we got a more stable version, but still couldn't clean the resin. Now the resin can be cleaned, and now our tanks refilled! Now we just need an update to take care of the issues with Xenon and boron inconsistencies! Wish these chemical tanks weren't so expensive, and you could order more than one truck at a time. Although there was an issue, where the order isn't fulfilled after it is delivered and it prevents you from ordering another tank, or a tank of the other chemical.

Oooh yeah, combining NaOH and H3Bo3 would be a *very* bad thing. Combining the two chemicals would be an explosively exothermic reaction and would likely aerosolize sodium borate, a respiratory tract irritant. Incidentally, they really should have either independent pipes, or a way for you to purge the piping if you're using the same pipe for both chemicals at different times. I'm reminded of a USCSB incident investigation video for a disaster that unfolded when a chemical delivery truck piped sulfuric acid into the sodium hypochlorite tank by mistake, producing a massive toxic chlorine gas cloud. Part of the problem involved using the same connector types for all chemical deliveries. It'd be interesting to see a multiplayer version of this game. I'd like to see you coordinating with other players on the walkie talkie to maintain and save the plant. PS It'd be hilarious if your failure to turn off the valve to the tank pipes would result in them backflowing into the parking lot. Maybe there could be a check valve or pump failure that causes that to happen. Someone get the devs on the line!

You were out of the plant control room for only an hour. 🤣 What could go wrong. I had to go back and look because it seemed like it was longer.

Apparently everything. Over producing power kills the power grid and I had no idea. I thought if it was a yellow light I was good for overproduction, but I think the lights don't calculate values right, and display the wrong color, because I was at 126% and it said I was still providing excess and not overloading

You are overproducing and have no resistors connected, thats why you keep losing connection. Your conderser overheated because you had massive bypass that puts huge load on conderser and it went over 100C thus losing all liquid from steam gen

Still hate resistors. Also, I think the level being lower causes it to heat up as well. Happened when I first started the game, and only was low when I kept it above green. But idk for sure.

I like your videos, but dude... you need to stop assuming it's the game doing something. The grid can only accept 10% over demand for a little while before it disconnects you to prevent damage (thus the resistor bank safety system, which is mis-described in the manual as an emergency system). I agree with you on some of the things left to develop on the game, but the chemical system is still pretty early development and the updates are coming fairly quick, so try not to get too frustrated in the meantime. A better road-map from the developer might help, so we knew what direction he was going in and what to expect. Keep up the good work!

The core sim is rather far from reality, and full of bugs, so it's a safe first assumption that when something unexpected happens it's the sim being weird. Not that one should stop with first assumptions.

Where were you when I have been doing this for so long, and when it has happened to tell me I am stupid? lol Looks like I was at 126% demand, so now I see where I have been going wrong. Never knew this until now, so thank you. Even still, resistors suck, and not looking forward to them.

If they really wanted decent control over the power output, they should model turbine INLET valves. That's what controls the steamline pressure and turbine torque/speed in a real plant. Also, in a real plant you can't send more power to the grid than the grid load, it's the other way round. The generators provide a voltage and the grid load causes a current, which in turn causes a torque load (and thus a pressure differential) on the turbine. If you suddenly experience a load drop, the turbine will run away and overspeed unless you're quick enough with the inlet valves.

Freight pumps 1-2 are for the old locations only, freight pump 3 is for the new locations only. 3 is not an upgrade of 1 or 2. The game doesn't communicate this well.

Try more like 10 times. I'm not afraid, just don't want the liability for normal game play. I've used them before when I have had all four installed before.

The turbine trip looks wrong. It should slam the bypass valve to 100%, not vent all of the steam in the secondary loop to nowhere.

Welp that's what it does lol also when you restore it, even if you are shutdown, it completely drains your S/G.

IM CONFUSED because in the control room the new chemical treatment plant control module has no buttons or controlls just a black screen

If you aren't doing a new save, I believe the new chemical update is incompatible, so you have to start a new game even if you select the option. If you select the option and have the old save, it will actually put the boron/ xenon into play, but with no way to control any of it.
