A pivotal Game 7 between the Nuggets and Jazz came down to the final seconds as a late heave from Michael Conley Jr. just rimmed out and allowed Denver to pull away with an 80-78 victory.
Jamal Murray went to Donovan Mitchell after the game to pay his respects and congratulate the Utah guard on a great series. Nothing but respect from the two young stars.

First game 7 I ever watched in full. I got into NBA shortly after Kobe Bryant's passing. These sure were weird for my first ever NBA playoffs but I will always be very nostalgic towards them. Even tho their were weird circumstances I believe there should be no asterisks because everyone had a fair shot to go out there and play their best.

Great series all 7 games. The guards carried this series but the big men showed up tonight on defense (gobert) and on offense with gobert getting the game tying alley oop then jokic hitting the game winner. Craig lucked out of missing that layup it could of turned out terrible if Conley hits that shot Murray should of faked like he was going to the basket then dribbled the ball out.

When I got a notification from Bleacher Report saying Mitchell celebrates the last three by Conley, Mitchell just raised the hands up the whole play to let them know that he was open, the ball should have been given to Mitchell. Amazing series. The best 1st rounder this season.

this missed shot by Conley reminds me of the wild finish of the first round playoff meeting of Indiana and Cleveland in 2017, particularly game 1 when CJ Miles lost it at the buzzer despite PG13 asking for the ball bcos he was wide open...in this one, i think Donovan Mitchell also asked the ball from Conley in that play too..

It's been two years since this series. The Jazz have failed to address any of the issues with the roster since, yet expect to make a deep play off run. They won't get out of the first round by relying on Mitchell to drop 40+. That's how superstars leave team's.

Allen Ruz it’s the size! Dame is way smaller than these guys. The build is different and that means they body dame. They have more skills and better defense. I love dame but for 2-3 years I’ve said trade dame CJ hits bigger shots. I’d be a killer GM tho no doubt. Murray has bigger hands then Mitchell also and in sports that’s huge at any position. I’d trade dame for Mitchell straight across or Murray and I’d throw in a 2/3 rounder. No hesitation.

Ingles was pointing to Mitchel for the last shot at 3pt area, but Gobert failed to realize that and chose Conley to take the last shot, and did it beyond the arc, and failed .. mitchel can't hide that acrimonious feeling of not getting noticed, i'm sure.. after all he's shown in this series, and specially this game. He's got all the right to show that emotion by crying for it

Even though the nuggets won and jazz lost, the amount of sportsmanship and respect between Mitchell and Murray is so heartwarming. I hope we can see both teams in another playoff series in the future!
