Don’t worry about repeating. You do such a great job. I know you mentioned about some loser complaining about you repeating yourself. I would do it just to piss them off. Great Job Andy!!!
Andy, you should have told Manuel to take off his shoes while running the new Nuhn! That would have been great Andy joking around 😂😂. Interesting comparison between the Mensch and the Nuhn. Once he gets his learning curve dialed in, I’m sure he will be more precise in his sand placement
Nobody wants to damage a brand new machine, and it takes getting used to. I'm sure he will figure out exactly how to run it within a few loads. A professional still has a learning curve, but he is making short work of it. Great video, Andy. And I'm sure Manuel REALLY appreciated the BOSS with a CAMERA on his first load!👍👍🤣🤣
@transmitterguy478 LOL!!!! YEAH, THEY WERE ALL WATCHING IT 💯%!!!! LOL!!!! MY ONE FRIEND LOL ABOUT THE VIDEO!!!! SAID IT WAS A GOOD VIDEO, BUT IT WAS TOO LONG FOR THE LUNCH BREAK!!!! 😂😂!!!!
I really really really do not like how the belt drive is surging, that's a way to wear your hoses out super-fast. Can probably be fixed by putting a crimper roller moving a little faster than the main feed belt above the end of it to draw the sand off more smoothly. *HEY NUHN*
Our mensch was spilling a lot on the floor like that. The fix was replacing the guide strips of rubber that ride along the side edges of the cross belt. The sand gets between the belt and the steel edges and goes on the floor if the rubber strip isn’t there to keep it on the belt. Cheap easy fix. Hopefully I described it well enough for you to understand. Great video comparisons 👍🏻
Hi Andy have u ever thought about putting in a separater to separate out the sand from the liquid that way u could dry out and reuse the sand and u wouldn’t have to buy in as much also it would save ur tankers and spreaders from excess wear and tear with no sand going through them?
Poor Manuel having to perform on camera in front of the technician's and in front of his boss, with a brand new multi thousand dollar machine, give him a couple of days on his own and it will be a different machine.
I think some kind of moveable chute would be awesome for putting the sand exactly where you want it. Sand being abrasive, it would probably need to be poly.
Great video! Best one you have put out in a while! Love the comparisons and the scales and seeing them both in action. Is that his full time job running the sand truck?
Probably because of the different stall designs and to avoid hitting posts and gates with the conveyor. Looks like it throws it far enough to clear the curbing.
Probably a 350,000.00 machine nothing is Flippin cheap anymore. It must last at least 25y now for that money. Nice upgrade very nice just hate the price tag.
Just wondering was the sand truck built at Nuhn's facilities in Sebringville, Ontario and shipped to your dealer or is there another facility near you building them?
That explains why you have so much sand in your manure. I’m guessing it’s better then saw dust or wood chips when dealing with that many animals but it’s still a lot of sand to deal with.
Sand is better than straw or sawdust because bacteria won't stay in it or grow in it. So the cows don't get mastitis as easily , therefore your somatic cell count is lower and that's one of the things that you can get a premium for and the cows stay healthier . Also it's more comfortable and probably a lot cooler in warm weather. Also not dusty like sawdust or straw.
Tks for sharing. With the nunn truck. Will this save time spreading sand? With the spillage between the two trucks? Is it cause one is new and the other is just used alittle more? Dont worry about repeating your self. Its okay. Its dont bother me if you do. Its all good.
Impressive! Like a stone slinger....which brings me to a question...can you put gravel through this? Also, how do you guys clean the individual stalls?
Hey andy been a while since i have comment but a hacker hack my account so i was wondering do u have someone come out and trim the hoofs of the cows are do u just do it urself when they are lame have a great day one more thing u need to stop working so hard and relax a little just sayin
The cattle tend to drag the stuff at the back (💩) out when they back out of the stalls. Likely someone takes a rake to remove the dirty sand daily, and I know some places that use a tractor or skid steer mounted bedding conditioner to level up the sand and also drag the dirty sand out at the same time.
Pretty impressive machine. when you did your test at the bunk, it wasn't moving so the amount on the ground would have been virtually invisible if you were bedding stalls running that first bucket out. Looks like the new truck would save a lot of sand, but is that worth the new machine? Cool video.
I noticed on your mench unit the sand dumping over the belt housing And commented about it. Someone said it was for traction. Repeating is no big deal.
Thats a nice unit I was looking at it when it was at the farm show. Impressive hydraulic set up on that thing. Watching your Mench all this time I wondered if you guys wanted a certain amount of spill back in the alley to help with cow traction or something. You'll have to buy the Nuhn truck so it matches the Vac truck now
@@FarmingFixingFabricatingOk, thanks. I was hoping you had an affiliate link so you would gain a bit of support from my purchase. However, the link is no link in the description. The only two links I see are the ones for your merchandise both in the US and overseas. I checked both of those links and did not see a listing for it.
@@SOONERTHANYOUWISHI find your explanation interesting, as I know of several other dairy channels on youtube. They film their milking process and have zero issues. 10th Generation Dairy Farmer and Sas Dutch Kid Just to name two.
