Fascinating views of a very remote little town that very few people get to see. Thanks for posting.

Just to clarify I believe that Cook is named after one of the early Prime Ministers, not the British navigator!

Rawlinna used to be the main rest area for drivers.

There have been promotional vid where they stop at Rawlina for either a sunset dining experience or eastbound a gourmet breakfast.

Fascinating to see. A8ustralia in general, and Australian rail and roads in particular, have always fascinated me. Sadly, I have never (yet) managed to get there.

When I took the Indian Pacific and stopped in Cook I was told: Human population 2; Flies 2 billion. It was almost true.

This is an awesome video! I'm a train fanatic myself. Ive been riding Amtrak all over America since the mid 80s. I live in California 🤮 and Ive been coast to coast and north to south. I really want to start a channel with nothing but trains. Lol. I live in the Morongo Basin of the Mojave desert in extreme southern California, so there's no trains anywhere around. To film them, I have to head to Palm Springs which is about a 45 minute drive. Anyways, I'm rambling, love your videos and I'm subbed!

Wow great video. Love your series of Australian railroading. Would be a cool (figuratively of course) place to Railfan.

Yeah but why fill with water in Cook? both Forrest and Rawlinna had better drinking water than Cook, Cook had very saline water.

Nullarbor has no 'U'. It is derived from Latin & means 'No tree' Including a 'U' is incorrect!

Paul, in another video you mention that the longest railway straight is no longer in Australia. Have I got that right? Where is the longest and how long is it?

Interesting little video about Paul’s refueling stop at Cook. With only 20 comments, you’d think Paul would answer some of the questions by now? I have a few, but won’t ask since he doesn’t seem to care about the commenters. Have a good day commenters. 🙂🚂
