Hello mate, just wanna say that all your videos alone have helped me go from a clueless dj wannabe to a full time dj playing in front of 100s of people. Unlike a lot of video's i see, you explain things so well and its easy for a beginner to understand it. Great teacher. Thanks again :)
This was my first kit about 8 years ago in high school! Haha now I'm out on my own working a full-time job and rockin local bars on the weekends with a DDJ SZ :)
I have one since of August 2011. It's my first equipment and it's great for begginers. Easy to handle, works with many mixing softwares. My enthusiasm has reduced when I installed Traktor LE (I didn't get Traktor LE 2 and Serato, only Traktor LE) and saw that Limited Edition is like Demo Version. Anyway, perfect thing to start with, but I'm thinking of buying Numark 4Trak. And one last thing, I just hate one thing about it. I can't find decent bag or some kind of case for Mixtrack Pro! Cheers :)
Some tips: If you press the cue button but want the song to play after releasing the cue. Press the play button while you're still holding the cue button. After you release the cue and play button the song will continue to play. This is very nice controller. The only reason why I want to trade in my current Numark Mictrack Pro for another controller is because it doesn't have hot cues. But if your starter DJ you don't really need them
Do your settings on the software have to be configured a certain way to listen to a track for cueing ? Or is it just a simply click on the cue button, and what are the 2 nobs above the browser nob used for ?
Wow, crazy seeing this pop up on my recommendations. Was my first controller, though I spun on vinyl before. I remember thinking this thing was revolutionary. Now I am rocking a DDJ 1000. One thing I did like about this old thing was you could remap things. These new controllers, not so much. If I want to turn the "Noise FX" button to another function since I never use that FX, I should be able to dammit lol.
Finally! Tuts from you on this controller! I'm not sure if you remember me but I was the guy who messaged you with questions on controllers. I asked you about this and how much it would cost when this came out. Now, I'm finally going to be able to practice on real equipment and this is my first! The package will be arriving in the Philippines in December.
really.,...I literally had this at the register today and my card got declined because it's not paid off till monday....I've never seen this until today, and now you've got this up.
there are many different ways to utilize freq control. First of all - you have to get your tracks not only beatmatched, but also they have to sound good together. Another basic rule - don't have too much samples on same freqs. If one track has only beats (which mostly low and high) - you can get high and mid from another track. Also it's a good idea to slowly change mid and high but almost instantly mix bass.
thank you sooo much! this is the best, most complete tutorial ive found on youtube, or anywhere. numark should pay you to use this video as their tutorial guide. thanks mate!
Hi mate, Ive had a numark mixtrack now for a fair few years and am looking to upgrade to something cheap but slightly better preferably with a Fitler function on the controller. What would you recommend ? Cheers.
I just got my one yday! was on it til 2am..just didnt wana move! great fun..only thing is as it says in the vid it comes with serator n traktor but im so used to VirtualDJ so its gonna take me a while getting used to the software.
Hey J! Doesn't this one feel a little bit "plastic" ? ANd y the way, any good tips for a gig bag (all in one, pc, cables, x1 and mixtrack) that will have space for this one? Long time!
BTW you probably know this but just want to make sure: when scratch mode is on, you can use the side of the platter (not the black part) to increase/decrease the speed.
Hi I have just got a mixtrack to got it off eBay but didn't git any software with it. Where is the best place to download software and what is the best in ur opinion for a beginner
I'm a beginner with djing but bloody love it. right now only have virtual dj on my pc so I'm just messing around having some fun. For xmas i want to get some kit but not too sure what would be best. Would the numark be the best bet? Appreciate any input, cheers man
The company I sub-contact for actually use the mixtrack pro shown in the video. Some DJs play in a club setting while others go into bars where it's easy going. VDJ and the mixtrack pro go very well together. I would research on different turntables and see what you would enjoy. They're expensive, but worth every penny! Happy hunting
@ellaskins thanks for a great tutotial.. still a bit confusing for me because ive never tired to d.j myself but once i but the product i know it will be easy to use.. would you say this is great for a beginner dj..
Very nice video.... I have the DJ Serato software for the Mixtrack Pro. My question is, can you make a tutorial like this one using Serato or could you recommend a video like this one using Serato please? Thanks!!
I know this is an old video, but I was thinking about buying one of these because I am tired of taking my good gear to house parties. I have a Denon controller and I use the outer ring of the jog wheels to nudge my track into sync. I assume that the Mixtrack Pro cannot do that?
synapticflow you can mate or buy the mixtrack pro 2, I use al big gear and having same issue I use the sx2 and normal sx but getting myself the numark nv2 for regular parties
Hello dj. i want to ask if you can help me, i have use serato dj into with mixtrack, but i cant listening with a good volume in my headphone, i want to aks if i need to setup or some other thing to do for get good volume in headphones. Thank you.
You might not have the resources but, Could you do a set up video with this to a Mac Book/Mac. Reason being is that it is a bit fiddly as it is not made for mac but runs on it!
HELP! Been looking at dj controllers for a while, aint no pro but ready to continue on practicing. Everytime i convince myself im gonna buy it,i see a negative comment about durability, puts me off,fustrating..Any constructive advise?
Im having a problem with only hearing one deck through just the head phones and not the monitors. Cue button doesn't seem to do it. Any thoughts? Im using macbook pro and serato dj intro.
High there I love what u do man keep up the good work , I'm a bit old school and have always used technics 1210s @ djm500 ,want to move forward into the controllers do u think this would b good to get me started kind regards Gary.
Hello. I new to this LOVE mixing music though. I'm having a problem hearing the music through the phones. I need to be able to preview the tracks before I mix it out loud. Can you help me with this? I followed the tutorial, I'm starting to think it's broken. I can mix, record and everything I just can't seem to preview the song first. Thanks in advance. Michael
This hacks me off so much!! the mixtrack pro is supported by serato but the idj3, which is very similar, isn't. and i was debating whether to get the MT Pro as well :(
I see. Well, I picked the Reloop Mixage over this one for my first controller, because the built quality of this one put me off. Then I switched to the Traktor Kontrol S2. Never really used any of the Pioneer controllers, but was able to see this one in a store. It's built like a toy.
I got Virtual DJ with mine. Having a bit of trouble separating the headphones from the speakers. Can anyone provide a bit of tech support? I've tried running the speakers (PC Surround 5.1) from the back of the unit but I can't hear what I want to cue without playing the track live
@ellaskins i need ur help pls I did buy Numark DJIO USB DJ Audio Interface for DJ Software and Numark MIXTRACK DJ Software Controller its connected to VDJ pro, however when I try to dj on shoutcast stream seems my mic doesn't work and i was told u cant because its for output the mic not the input
hey i know it's unrelated but can anyone tell me whether the pioneer wego works with traktor aswell? i couldn't really find official intel on that, but i mean it's pioneer they should have the professional attitude to release official traktor mappings. not to bash vdj, just sayin
