Great review, I love the numatic Charles and Henry wet and dry Argos branded machines, what I love most is that because it is a wet and dry vac then EU regulations on the maximum wattage of vacuum cleaners do not apply to it so you get a fantastic suction for both wet and dry cleaning :)
Just brought one but it arrived as a 'Henry Wet and Dry'. In every other regard it looks just like a Charles. One use of a Wet and Dry hoover is replacing radiators. Turn off valves each end. Put Henry set up for wet at one end. Suck out the water. Move old radiator outside, slot in new one (assuming same size) add a bit of ptfe tape and some spanners and job done. A Charles can also make bleeding radiators potentially less messy.
Thank you for doing these reviews we just bought a HWD 370 and couldn't lock the lid with the filter on. Thanks to you and your entertaining review it's sorted. You made us laugh and learn 🎓❤️👊🏾
Thank you very much for your clear helpful instructions. I had been struggling to clip the top for a long time but after watching the video I did it!. You are a star!
I want to see a review of the super low budget Wickes own brand wet and dry cleaner.. Only £30 and ideal for cleaning the car / shed... I like the budget reviews and the no nonsense commentary
Hello iBaisaic! I've commented on your videos before and you've responded :) anyways, could you PLEASE review the Henry Wash HVW 370 at some point? There's literally no reviews for it on RU-vid or any other site besides Numatic's offical 1 minute 30 second video lol... thanks!
Perhaps you’ve explained this in another video, (which you could direct me to), but being from the USA, I’ve never seen any actual named with faces Numatic vacuums. I read up a little bit and understood they are sold worldwide. But never anywhere I’ve lived. We basically call this type of vac a shop vac or wet and dry vac. And I don’t know anyone that would use one for regular everyday carpet cleaning. So, I’m honestly interested in what the fascination is with them.
Would you recommend this over the standard Henry at 99 quid? Is this better suction than the 99 quid Henry? I don't need the wet function but the motor at 1000 watt would on paper seem better suction than the 620 watt.on the basic Henry. Great videos
@@ibaisaic thanks for the info. I have watched your video on George and am really thinking of going for it. What do you think about it for a 1 for all house vacuum to use as dry vacuum and for hard limestone floor cleaning.
He can't do much without any eyes. Charles is more likely to kill you in your bed because he can see you. You need to make a cross out of extension tubes and have it by your bed for safety.
Wow, I checked Amazon and Henry is nearly $400 here and George is $599. That is a crazy amount of money for a suction only cleaner. I was going to get one but not for that price.
Actually in the UK the average Henry is 110 Euros, or around maybe 130 American dollars. They're very expensive on Amazon US because of the cost of export.
You can use it without bags for dry use, but I wouldn’t recommend it as the filter will require frequent cleaning. The manufacture recommend that a bag is used.
@@ibaisaic Oh, no... sorry... I meant the "head" where the name is printed... the "motor" so to speak... if I had the inclination, could I make a short red Charles , or a (slightly less powerful) wet/dry cleaner with cable storage, by swapping the motors over.
@@ibaisaic Yes, it is... thanks... I have an older 850w HVR200 which has a power outlet on the motor unit which I understand is a less common feature for powering a carpet beater. The reason I had considered swapping the heads was that I was looking at Charles for it's larger waste storage capacity, but I really need the cable storage.... while the other unit really needs to be compact but is likely to remain connected most of the time so does not need cable storage. I'm curious if you know whether the new 620w Henry has less suction than my older 850w version of if it's just more efficient.
Never quite saw the point in the Charles, it is just a less functional George. If you want a dry hoover, buy a Henry, if you want a wet hoover, buy a George.
Charles is for people that want a wet/dry vac but don't need the shampoo function. The new Henry Wash is for people that want a shampoo cleaner but don't need the dry vacuuming function.
I could never see the point in buying a Charles really, another 80 quid or so you could have a George which will do everything a Charles will + you can use it to shampoo your carpets/upholstery/inside your car etc.
Numatic has so many models I get confused. I like the blue color. They were really ingenious when they came up with the idea to put names and faces on their vacuums. It imparts a personality on them and makes you want one.
Hi there ibaisaic, sorry I realise its not your real name, my 4year old son charlie is fascinated with you and hoovers he loves your videos, aspecialy the Christmas one were it starts with santa arranging the presents and you waking up.. obviously we know it's really you in that suite 😉🤪 I think 🤔 😆 write I have a question for you if you don't mind, I recently brought a charles wet vac. From home essentials/ simplyB, I had to sent it back as it was letting water In and hittingvthe moter casing causing the switch to malfunction, why would it be doing that, as it is a wet n dry. I am a self employed car valeter by trade.. kind regards Alex
@@ibaisaic hello there sir, yes the filter was correct and the ball was in place, I have used these models before I have many years experience that's why I was confused about wat was going on with it. I have returned the charles now, I mite order it again soon. I do have others, I was disappointed with it as I have been wanting the charles for a long time so when I eventually got it it was a bit of a blow.. my son Charlie was very excited to know you had replied, so many thanks for taking time to reply. He is fascinated with hoovers Henry's aspecialy.. anyway kind regards Alex
Thought ide just let you know I have recently re,orderd the charles again and last night I also orderd the hetty 160 as the one I have has started to fail, the motor is making a very loud noise and smelling like n electric burning smell. My youngest charlie is very excited about this ☺ just thought ide inform you of this roger. Kind regards Alex..
I love you videos are do you look cool I love the pneumatic cleaners and pneumatically never special like a Henry a hottie a hearty I know George and Henry wet and dry and a Henry rap
How does that explain my similar Numatic machine that actually has Henry Wet & Dry printed on it? Perhaps you should contact Numatic to inform them of their error. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c2DJaUMnlk0.html
Worst vacuum I’ve ever come across in my life, the mobility of it is god awful, can’t take corner at all and in general just isn’t a good quality or designed vacuum, if you’re reading this, save yourself trouble and go buy a vacuum with 4 wheels with 360 degree mobility because that vacuum falls over all the time when it gets used, I use it at work and it makes me want to be able to speak with the designer cause maybe I’m missing something but it’s such a horrible design in my opinion
I did, several months ago direct from My Henry and they sent me the old model despite showing the new one on their website. I sent it back and have no plans to buy another Charles at the moment.
