Just bought one of this machine and would never figure out you need to stretch the pipe to fit on the hose. You saved me from a big headache! Thanks! My 3 year old use to watch your videos every day. He is addicted to vacuum cleaners. 🤣
This is probably the best demonstration of any I've ever seen. This guy is so articulate and clear in his presentation. His delivery is precise and faultless. Thank you. I was given a loan of this machine without any instructions and used it with confidence.
Really love how Numatic International haven't cheapened out on stuff. Still brass nozzles and stainless tubes unlike VAX etc who are all plastic now. Its so British! I hope they never change. I even like how they included shampoo but its not their own brand and they allow you to use any low foaming brand. Unlike VAX etc who demand you only use their own stuff or your warranty is void.
Thx Numatic for keeping production in the U.K. and for keeping a product that is british a quality build like we used to be famed for... oh and for not selling yourselves out !
Thanks for an excellent instructional video. I borrowed George from my in laws and died when I seen all the attachments it came with, so this saved my carpets as I was just going to give it straight back. It's a very confusing machine, however I feel much more confident after watching your video. It was great, thank you
You are amazing. Just spent 10 mins trying to get the top off. This demo has really been the best I have ever watched. A helmet cam would have helped you. Now I need my boyfriend to watch the video!
great video was struggling to get my new purchased George together. i bought it after funding a quarry tile floor under acold carpet. this wascfirst video that really helped. thanks.
Thank you so much for this informative video. I skipped a few minutes in, expecting waffle like with most instructional vids but had to go back when I realised you were straight into it. I’m hoping this will help me clean my slate kitchen and cream carpets (two cats, a rescue dog, two big kids with muddy shoes and a potty training toddler…). Thanks Nikki
Thank you for the talk and demonstration, glad I found you on You Tube.. The Instruction booklet that came with Numatic George was useless to me.. watched a few demostrations on You Tube but you tell every single detail about George..Thank you ,I am all set up now and ready to use after struggling what goes where..Very pleased with myself for assembling all by myself.
Very glad I found your channel. Been looking to get a carpet washer/wet vacuum but have had a hard time finding detailed demonstrations that are actually helpful and give honest reviews. Thank you!
Thanks so much for this video. I have a george but have only used it for dry cleaning so far. The instruction manual was a little confusing I found, your video has helped me work out how to use it to clean my carpets now.
As a follow on, since I watched this video and learned how to use George properly he has done a lot of work and family members have made use of him (and this video) too. I agree with your assessment, he is not the easiest to use if you want to clean a large carpet, I think an upright would be better there, however for spot cleaning, small carpets, rugs etc he does work very well.
What a great video. i was curious about George but I've got all my questions answered now. What an awesome machine it is. Thanks a lot for your effort to make this demonstration video
What a very clear and comprehensive demonstration. This was so helpful to me, I have bought this machine and the instructions are poor! This has shown me every aspect of the machine. I would add that Numatic machines are very good.
Thanks for this video. I lost the manual. I am disabled and need to have a WORKING vacuum for new cleaner. I can’t actually vacuum but I got it fixed from your video. Brain woks better than my arms!

Thank you so much for taking the time to show this great cleaner off and all it does. So much appreciated - so clear and easy to follow so I will be getting more use out of it now. :)
Hi Earlier tonight I brought this machine, some years after it’s been released. I’m the kind that shops until the best bang for buck can be made. While the postman brings me the green machine, I found this most informative video. So much info here! My only detracting comment, please by a tripod 😂. Thank you
This is a very old video. You will see my newer videos are filmed in 4K using a tripod. Here’s my latest video on George. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D13RnVE5rpk.html
I just bought one and i`m waiting on it to come in tomorrow and I love my henry( he needs a friend), and I know the george will last basically forever so this will best money invested in a all arounder in a long time!
Glad you found it informative. The George is one of the best cleaners for washing the interiors of cars and many valeting firms use it or the similar commercial version.
I once owned a Vax 1631. It was okay as a stop gap machine for my early days as a car valeter, but George out performs it due to having better wet cleaning heads! Were I to go professional again, I would choose a George without hesitation ☺
THANKS. Very informative video. I just bought a 'George'. It might be worth adding a card to your video pointing out that the floor tool bristles are also great at cleaning the grout lines on tiled floors. regards, Phil
Brilliant...... thank you 😇. My sister left one in my parents shed when she emigrated and I was going to have it. ...... but my son is called George and he said he should have it as it's got his name on it! 😳. Either way demo perfect as there's no operating instructions with it! 😯👍🏻
thank you for your demonstration. Because of my grind floor it is very hard to look for something to clean it in a good way. i used to have a philips Aquatrio but it doesn't do the job well enough. . i can't use steam. i immeadiatly but me a george and hoping to receive it tomorrow. I skipped everything till you started te demo for the scrub brush. but will look the entire demo soon. that is the most important for me. it looks amazing. again thank you
It's a bit of effort to clean hard floors, but you should get a good result with the stiff brushes. At some point I am going to clean my garage floor with my George. For day to day cleaning of hard floors, I would recommend the Bissell Crosswave.
that Bissell Crosswave looks a bit the same as the aqua trio i was talking about. with 2 dogs and 4 cats it can't keep up. i'm planning to use the george once every two weeks an in between. normal cleening with a mop. depends how easy is to use.
Fantastic video… I was looking for a new cleaner and after watching this, decision made! I never thought I could get excited about a vacuum cleaner… I am now and mine arrives on Saturday :-)
what an excellent video, I was thinking of getting one of these to clean car seats, but had no idea how it worked, what attachment did what, etc etc, also I was watching one on ebay which I "thought" came with all the parts, I can now clearly see that it did not, so you have saved me buying an incomplete item, so thanks for that, all in a very good video and thanks for taking the time and effort to do so, keep up the good work and by the smile on George`s face, he clearly loves his job!!!!!
Thanks for the amazing video. I had Henry and he died. He drowned, so I bought George. Can you tell me what cleaning solutions are allowed for hard floors as well as carpets. I don’t want to kill George. I love him
You can use most hard floor cleaners that you dilute in water, though you don’t want one that foams too much. For carpets any low foam carpet shampoo meant for carpet washers is fine as long as you dilute it according to the instructions on the bottle.
ibaisaic My first bet is the "adventurous" Go Pro camera, although I haven't used one and I guess it may be expensive. As I know it is designed to be head-mounted, and I guess its full HD capability could give us, your remote viewers, a clear insight into freshly cleaned fibers of carpets and detailed curvings of tiles where the dirt loves to hide ;) Keep up the great work mate.
I have a HD camcorder, so only need some sort of head strap but most seem designed for mini cameras. I have seen a shoulder mount that may fit the bill. I will keep looking.
Thank you. I only wish I'd seen your excellent demonstration before I struggled to make sense of the instructions that came with my George. (I think you should reward yourself with a camera tripod, but you did remarkably well with just your left hand! :)
I bought one for cleaning cars awesome machine easy to get spares well made and good value for money used puzzi machine expensive to buy and maintain and I feel not as good
@@krell2130 hi it lasted very well simple to use no problem with it at all and yes definitely buy another one not sure what it's like for house carpets
I watched this video again and again. Because it is the only accurate demo, I can not get help from any other reliable source. Now, you poured the water through the suction, where do you press to suck up the dirty solution from the mat? Your application is not visible to the camera while you are washing the stairs either. You press the suction gun to pour water but how do you suck up the dirty solution afterwards? Does it just suck up itself when you give up using the gun with both the washing button and vacuum button being on ?
Hi There, Hope you are well , Your video is very useful , actually I was looking for a demo for carpet cleaning with my relatively new George and I stumbled upon your video. I wanted to know whether I can use the brush on the floor tool to scrub the carpets to get more out of the machine as in, to agitate more dirt out of the carpet? My next question is ,will it spoil the floor attachment? Looking forward to your reply. Many thanks.
great review just bought this yesterday with a vax scrubber head someone recommended to me don't no if you have a review about the vax scrubber head on the George . I have a an Italian made carpet washer but couldn't get the parts anymore it was a great machine still works but the sprayer had broken off the end off the wand
Looks really cool. Is there a model of George that doesn't use bag for dry vacuuming but instead uses water to filter out dirt? I was thinking about buying this one but I would have a really hard time finding bags for George here where I live.
If you can buy a George where you live, you will be able to get bags. All the George models have used bags, though you can use them without but they are messy to empty that way and the filter gets dirty very quickly.
I would actually buy it abroad and take it with me to my home country where we do not have George or any other model from Numatic at all on the market. Is there any chance that you would stumble upon one of these vacuums, and perhaps make a review of them? www.robert-thomas.de/en/electrical-appliances/floor-care/vacuum-and-carpet-cleaners/thomas-prestige-20-s-aquafilter or www.robert-thomas.de/en/electrical-appliances/floor-care/vacuum-and-carpet-cleaners/thomas-bravo-20-s-aquafilter Thank you for replying.
washed a carpet with george recently wasnt very impressed. i like the fishtail gets into corners and close to walls easy, but i found it left the carpets very wet. i mixed 5 litres of solution and recovered just over 1 litre. the delivery of the solution to the carpet seems ok, but when sucking it back up you need to put some pressure on the tube of the handle forcing the fishtail into the carpet while on the pull stroke. you use a lot more energy using this type of carpet cleaner than say a bissel type carpet washer. maybe there is not enough power in the george to get the solution back from the carpet up the handle and through the vacuum hose (about a 3 metre journey) i had to go over the wet carpet with a bissel to remove excess solution. should have just used that machine in the first place but wanted to try out the george probly good as a spot or rug cleaner but i wont be using this type of cleaner again to shampoo carpet when hard floor cleaning recovery of solution seems no problem
The George is the best cleaner I've used for above floor deep cleaning and car valeting, but not recommended for carpets. The hard floor head is good and I've even used it to clean a concrete garage floor. For carpets, an upright machine with revolving brushes will give better results.
Could you put your camera on the tripod, and then take that microphones that you got in 2018, to make your voice sound close. Then, for close-ups, you could just use your phone. Oh, and what is the pneumatic George called in the US?
Hi, thank you for your video! Just got my George today and put it straight to work, what a change! I would like to ask you, if I want to do dry vacuuming with water filtering dirt, can I do that? What I mean I use the dry hose and dry vacuuming accessories but inside I pour a couple of liters of water, the float valve on top then the rest so the dirt I vacuum would go straight into that water? So no more hepa bags.
I would not recommend it. The George is designed to be used with a filter and bag for dry use. Only heavy dirt would go in the water, the rest would go straight through the motor and out of the exhaust and into the room.
@@ibaisaic thank you, you are right. And thank you for answering so quickly, I am really pleased with this vacuum, it's amazing for our household needs.
Why didn't they make the exhaust port into the capability to attach the hose? a circle port. I often use my black n decker wet dry for a leaf blower and i have sometimes blown out leaves or clogs with the exhaust port. Who manufactures George?
