Here in the UK you can pick up Henry for just over £100 which is amazing value. It can't be beaten for value at that price. Bags in the UK are £1 each 😃 Personally I'd prefer the Miele but it's more expensive to purchase and to run. The simple design of the Henry means it will go on for many years without any problems 🙂
Great video as always. Just used mine today. The AirBnB has been busy and Henry’s bag isn’t 1/2 full yet even after a month of use. The charcoal filter really keep any orders from exiting the machine. Very highly recommended! Go Henry!
The red light is where there once was the controls for high/low suction. Originally this was a green high/low rocker but was changed on the autosave models to a combination LED/rocker style push switch, these models defaulted to low power mode when switched on and the rocker enabled/disabled full power mode. This lasted up until the first eco Henry's with the 520w motor (having switched back to the 2 position rocker without autosave) and was ditched on the 620w models and replaced with the mains on indicator. I'm guessing they did this as the high/low circuitry was not always that reliable and could totally disable the vacuum if it failed, hence most of our 1200w Henry's at work have had the autosave circuitry removed and the motor wired directly to the power switch, something that is simple to do.
It actually was the 2014 A2 580w model with indicators.Then the HVR200 12 model with the 2 speed rocker switches and 620w,Then the HVR200 11 had the indicators and 620w motor
In my opinion the best vacuum cleaner on the planet. We have the pink 'hetty' version. The suction's so good it would pick the carpet up too if it could! Long electric cord and hose and a simple and robust design. I've seen tradesmen use them to suck up rubble! Dyson etc are all crap in comparison.
and the filter is the special Microtex filter from the Henry Micro, designed to improve filtration for allergy sufferers over the standard hospital grade tritex filter.
He is a really nice machine but I think in America they put micro tex filters and metal baseplates I wish in uk they had it like that but it still is good old henry!
There isn't a builder, electrician, decorator or plumber in the UK that hasn't had one of these at some stage, usually at least a decade old, completely abused, covered in paint spatter and blobs of plaster from multiple projects but still going strong. They are brilliant simple, robust and reliable machines. They will outlast half a dozen dysons. It's just a shame they are three times the price in the US that they are in the U.K. Still, perhaps the rumoured trade deal will sort that- although it seems a bit unfair if the price of henry drops by 60 percent in the US, and in return we get your cheap and nasty chlorine washed battery chicken!
In Malaysia you can pick up a numatic henry for RM1,889 which what i paid for but however for some reason Numatic vacuums arent popular in Malaysia. they prefer brands like Karcher, Philips, Electrolux, LG, Samsung, Sharp, Shark, Vax, Hitachi, Toshiba, Bosch, Tefal and Dyson. They Probally had Miele cleaners in Malaysia but they weren't on the market anymore and im not sure about bissell and hoover. Mainly the real reason is they were the only ones made in the UK. DS Machinery the company that distributes Numatic Vacuums for malaysia. There are only 6 domestic models avaliable in malaysia Henry 160, Hetty 160, Henry Pet, Henry Allergy, Henry Wash and the Henry quick. Im not sure why they didnt bring in other models of Henry like the Henry Xtra, Henry Eco, Henry Cordless, Henry eco and so on, other models of hetty like Yellow Hetty 160, Hetty Xtra, Hetty Xtend and so on, Numatic James, Charles, George and Harry i had a henry 160 that i bought from DS Machinery and a Numatic George which i purchased from amazon
A Henry can only be replaced by another Henry. Numatic should really do more advertising. Here in germany, numatic is totally unknown to average people. Only professionals may use them. I accidentally came to Henry by watching some of those random fun pictures where one of them depicted a Henry with a "funny" phrase on top. I first laughed because of its face. But then I noticed how good this device really is. I suddenly scrapped my old hoover and ordered my Henry. After its first run on my floors: Never ever anything else again! Why all the years struggling with those throwaway weak noisy plastic hoovers sold everywhere?!....
