I get asked all the time how to become a better photographer. While there is a lot of great information online, in books and from taking workshops, so many people often overlook the most simple way of getting better, getting out and taking more pictures.
To often we get caught up in looking for exciting subject matter to shoot and we end up leaving our cameras sitting on a shelf instead of going out and creating exciting images from the most simple things in our backyards. Something as simple as a picture of our kids playing a video game can make a great image. Even when it isn't a great image, it is a learning experience.
