Gentlemen, every time you give us an organ treat, you do exactly what I like in this epic instrument: it is not for tiny sounding tunes, it is meant to growl, to roar, to make bellies feel the sound of a stormy wind, to express epic tornadoes in music....in other words, to make classical music rock and roll/metal.

@@nizaru100 the buttons above the stops are used to set the combinations (on this organ there's three of them if i'm understanding what I see correctly). The clock device (usually) shows the position of the crescendo roller. It might also be an actual clock. As for this specific organ: there's a row of indicator above the combination setters which to me look like crescendo indicator. I would have to see a more detailed photo of the console to know for sure.

@@pordzio What I know is that combinations are set with buttons under every manual +above pedal board ! but the manyyyyyyy buttons above the manuals ? is that your supposition or you're sure !? @pordzio
@pordzio 8 месяцев назад
@@nizaru100 While modern organs use electronics to store the combination and move the stops/stop tabs older systems have to be preset in a different way. English organs would use a hidden big switchboard to preset combinations, while germans decided to do it front and center on the console. The organ in this video has three free combinations (in german: "Freie Kombination"). Those correspond to a row of those little drawstops above the row of stop tabs. If you look closely in the video you will see, that at the ends of these rows are signs with I, II and III on them - drawing the knob will enable that stop on the combination.
