Edward Taylor plays Nun danket alle Gott, Op. 65, No. 59 by Sigfrid Karg-Elert. Taken from his set of Chorale Preludes this work is one of the composers most famous. Performed here at Carlisle Cathedral
Greetings from Uppsala, Sweden. We have heart this piece today as the postludium in the Uppsala Cathedral. You play it exceptionel well. I like your registration very much anduour tempo!
I wish this video had been around 40 years ago: I would have modelled my playing on it. I like the attention to the tempo changes and your registration works very well (liking the new microphone position). That final D on page 28 before the da capo - hardly worth bothering with as the G chord come a 'nanoseond' later: I can't see/hear if you played it but I'm sure you would have!
I'll have to take another look at the tempo changes the piece asks for. They probably make for a more controlled performance. I'm sure I go charging on with minimal rallentando.
