the guy is truly Amazing..Nuno is a flawless guitar player.he's got such a percussive approach to his technique.he dosnt sound like your typical shredder which usually sounds very mechanical and lacks feel..Nuno!!!..what an inspiration.
You can practice your whole life and not have what Nuno has. The magic is in his hands and intonation. He has that proverbial "it" we all wish we had!! Fucking amazing!
Nuno is a Guitar God...hands down... anyone else notice Pat playing right along with him during Cupid's Dead?? Whole band is awesome.. most under rated band in history.. my all time favorite group..
you guys also need to give a ton of credit to Badger (bassist) because for the most part he is playing the same riffs nuno is without cutting corners. Thats crazy for a bassist to do.
Yes so true and if you just listen very closely to the bass he is phenomenal like those bass strings are like 2 or 3 times thicker then guitar strings plus frets wide etc and this bassist is playing scales and intense melodic VERY TIGHT note for note playing unlike regular bass parts where it's steady rhythm to the drums and in same key as guitar bla bla but just BASS SHREDDING so bottom line give credit where credit is due and Nuno and Gary should pull him over and say everyone this bass player works probably harder then the guitar player abd singer but maybe not drummer cuz drums are stamina and strength so yeah explain to audience at every show about the bassist.

It's my favourite band and I love Cherone's voice too, i'm talkin about the strip things and stuff, but it's a great band ! My favourites : Decadence Dance, Get The Funk Out, Star, Heman Woman hater :D
He is a guitar God, yes, but the lead singer of his band has a too forgettable voice and seems especially compared to him rather forgettable over all, and the marketing has obviously not done a good enough job to advertise them

Nuno is soooooo good its painfully sweet...I still love the original Extreme record. The thing is...he combines shredding, blues,and funk.....AND classical.....that's unique. Thats....NUNO BETTENCOURT.
@@psyopbeats3635 also, when he plays really hard parts like the Its a monster solo, he either sits down or puts the guitar up on his knee, he said in many interviews that he does that because its too damn hard to play them that low lol
4:25 Ingenious sense of timing that made him, and still makes him, so unique compared to so many other players who are great, but all blend into each other after a while. One of a kind talent.

Flawless in every aspect. He's in a band that I don't ever listen to but I've watched this video over and over. I've even owned a Nuno sig guitar just on the off chance it was the key to sounding that cool. It wasn't.

Nuno's lucky to have Pat backing him. Pat gives him space during his solos, despite not being one bit of a slouch himself. Wish Paul Gilbert had similar space in Mr. Big, instead of being crowded out by Sheehan.

Nuno is my FAVOURITE guitarist because he can play many different styles but in a cohesive way and ALWAYS plays music, not just super fast shredding (which he can do of course). He found a deep crunchy sound that rocks, and has a great sense of rhythm and being the only guitarist in the band makes him cover every angle. And I'm just talking about the electric guitar....
Well, I've seen a lot here on youtube, I like a lot of solos of him, search for "Flower man" if you wanna hear some of the solos that resembles what he started doing since his solo career, the classics are "warheads" "play with me" "Decadence Dance" "Get The Funk Out" "Rest in peace" Then you've got "Exit" of his solo career and "Stiff" if you wanna hear a solo with band coordination like "Cupid's dead" "Last hour" "Watching Waiting" "Mother" "Song for Love" if you want some xpressive solos
How the frick does he solo like that with the strap so low? I can chug power chords at crotch level but the minute I'd try runs like that I feel like my wrist would break off.
Nuno is one of the best of the old school, probably he hasn't the best technique, the best improvisation, the best velocity or whatever BUT his Sound - tecnique is UNIQUE. His solos will be remembered all the time.
