Hi Professor D, Thank you so much for these videos. Question: The SATA question with the client scheduled for receiving a bone marrow transplant: The answer choice that suggests teaching about the autologous transfusion; I think I have read somewhere where the blood can go through aphaeresis (treated to kill the cancer cells), the patient’s remaining blood in the body is treated with chemo and then the patient transfused with the clean stem cells that went through the aphaeresis. Am I getting that confused with something else?
8:43 I think you meant that the patient will get high dose chemotherapy to kill all cells before bone marrow transplant, not high does radiation. This the reason the answer is the patient will receive high-dose chemotherapy, not high-dose radiation
