Just graduated from nursing school and started my first job in Neuro ICU - VERY intimating - this video was very helpful. Its one thing to learn in school - its completely another to see all of the machines. Thank you
I get this type of posturing, my upper cervical chiropractor suspected that intercranial pressure was the cause of my seizures and other symptoms and suspected a chiari malformation, I recently had an appointment with a neurosurgeon apparently the leading experts in the field the registrar dismissed my symptoms didn't bother to ask about them ,he asked me to describe my seizures I said I can't exactly explain my seizures but I have a video he refused to watch it, he blatantly said I didn't have a chiari malformation, I said that it was suggested by chiropractor that I need a standing MRI as the gravity will pull everything down he blatantly dismissed this and said that no amount of positioning will change the scan outcome. Which baffles me as the choice of scan to accurately diagnose a chiari is a standing MRI. He thinks my symptoms are all physcological and that I'm looking for an organic cause when there wasn't. I feel that time is ticking for me and when I get these types of abnormal posturing cause I know what's exactly happening to me but I'm not being taken seriously.
