Hey guys! Thank you so much for watching I hope you enjoyed my attempt at a night routine!! INSTA: madisonmikayla101 #madisnursingjourney #nursingschoolvlog
Nursing school was hell lol. But I made it through and have been practicing for 3.5 years now. Keep up the good work and motivating others. We need good Nurses.
I'm so jealous y'all are actually attending clinicals! My school not only cancelled all clinicals for the foreseeable future, but we are also completely online at this point.
Yayyy, I just got out of Sim lab and I got this notification you posted Yayy!!😍😍😍You are so lucky you get to actually go to facilities for clinical, I live in Florida and they are not allowing students in the hospitals or nursing homes at all, so we have had to do clinicals online and now are able to practice skills in the sim lab🙈. Ily girl!💕
Ugh girl. You just reminded me of how early I have to wake up for clinical again in September. Haha. But you’re doing great girl! I just posted my first RU-vid video. Thank you for inspiring me to share my nursing school journey on RU-vid. Keep going ✨
I remember finding your channel at the very beginning and being so excited to get into nursing school! I just started this past week and you are such an inspiration and role model for me. Thank you for posting videos!
This gives me so much motivation and ways to organize my notes for lecture. Finishing up my pre nursing pre reqs. Where do you get your notebooks? I love how they don’t have lines🤩
My school is closed and so is starbucks so everything is online and there is no where to study. I wish I could go somewhere beside my house right now lol
Jordyn Rae I am in CA and everything is online! I thought it would make it a little easier because I thought that the teachers would be more understanding but NOT AT ALL with my teacher!
Erin Brown SAME. My peds teacher gives us so much “busy work” cause she thinks we don’t have enough work. I’m in FL and COVID is spiking again soooo I don’t think we will be going back anytime soon. I graduate in December!
Yay I’ve been waiting for this!! I love your videos and they make my day everytime! Especially now that I’m sick and have to lay in bed all day long😂 just got my Covid-19 test results back and they where negative, phew!
Girl! I’ve been waiting for your update video since Thursday. Lol I’m currently during pre nursing school and every time I see your videos I get sooo exited about going into nursing school
Please make sure to get enough sleep at night! I know stopping yourself from studying makes you feel guilty about not studying but you can burn yourself out so easily by grinding too hard all of the time! Self care is a must. Good luck girl!
Madi, I love your videos! It is so motivating and encouraging to see someone going through a similar nursing journey as others. Could you post a video about how you study pharmacology? I would love to see another nursing student’s approach and technique on how to prepare in this area of nursing. Thx so much:)
you are SO cute in your videos 😂😭 laying down in the sun, talking outside of your car, idk it’s just funny to me in a cute way lmao. enjoy the rest of nursing school! i’m currently doing the same :)
Madi I came across your channel this summer and I wish I had found you sooner!! Been binging all your videos. You seem like such a sweet soul and I always get so motivated seeing how positive you are during busy school times! I'm in my third year of the psych nursing program and I know this would've been really nice to watch on a semester basis but it's just motivating me for when the fall semester begins!! I filmed a whole bunch of nursing videos this summer and can't wait to start posting them soon as well, just wish I had started earlier because looking at your journey is so inspiring :)
I’m an RN but still love going on here and watching nursing school videos😂 Just curious, how does your school lay out your clinicals? For example all of mine were on a medsurg unit of some sort and we did one 12 hour shift a week on top of extras we had (ex: OB, OR, ICU, etc). My first semester I do remember we were at a SNF for our first four weeks!
I love watching your videos!! If I have no motivation To do homework or study, I watch one or two of your videos and all my motivation returns to me! Thank you so much
I can't believe I am watching this by accident. I saw crocker park the place closed to my house. By the way I have been a nurse for four years. Keep up the good work.😀
girll you can do it, you also dont need straight A’s. Im a current nursing student while working as a medical assistant. The work is a lot but its doable if you really want it!! :)
If you like that headband you should look up BLOM (they also sell on amazon). They make a headband that looks exactly like that but the knot can be moved and converted into a bunch of different styles, plus the fabric is a very athletic feeling fabric. Lots of really cute colors as well.
when I had my med surg 1 clinical, we had to fill out a med worksheet on the day of our med pass before we passed them. our sheet wasn't nearly as in-depth as the ones you had to fill out. I like yours better though!
It really does work. Apply it whenever and I’ve seen some disappear by the next day and some reduce in half and with a second application completely gone. I’ve stopped buying acne spot treatment and saved money.
I want to go to nursing school but I'm kinda nervous. I feel ready but at the same time it seems like a lot and I'm scared I'm going to get overwhelmed.
I'm starting nursing school next month and it seems like my program will be having clinical in the hospital, we just need to do some covid training online!
I start Nursing school in about 6 weeks! We're able to do clinicals in person. As for lab/skills we're doing in person and online. I wish I was able to study at a Starbucks before my program starts but it's closed due to Covid. Which is understandable. Thank you sharing!
Dark Peach oh yea , they take forever lol . My school just told us last week that Even in the fall we are doing virtual learning which sucks since It’s my last semester this fall and never actually had clinicals outside of the lab at school 😭
@@tanniamorales5584 Oh my heart goes out to you! That does suck. The fall is my last semester as well, and I'll be doing the last level of med surg. That's why I was hoping so much that we would at least be able to do regular clinicals again. Lecture will still be virtual, but I don't mind that though.
i love your videos. The only thing is that you shouldn’t touch the mask there then touch your face because its like your exposing yourself. you should take it off by the sides. its just a friendly reminder :)
I’m not maddie but I’m a nursing student and my biggest recommendation is stay on top of your material! You really don’t want to fall behind but also don’t panic. Your instructors will help you and you will get through it I promise! Best of luck to you on your nursing journey 🥰
You can type in any drug name into google with davis afterwards (example: digoxin davis) and it will populate a PDF of all the info and more. Really helpful when making drug cards : )
Everything will be okay. Just stay organized. Do whatever works for you for writing down or putting when things are due in a device. Study each night. Work on assignments when they are assigned. Do not procrastinate. You do not want to fall behind. I can speak from experience that when I stayed ahead on my work and planned my day my test scores were higher by at least an entire letter grade.
I’ve watched all your videos, they are so inspirational! I want to go to school for a RN! I’m excited 😊 how long did it it take you to do your pre requisites?
Have you ever had to retake a class? I have been in summer Anatomy and having it all online And self taught it was making it very hard to pass the tests. I was putting in 8 hours a day. I’m really upset about it. Any advise? I have always wanted to be a nurse 👩⚕️ I’m 37 and had a lot of medical issues when I was younger keeping me from being able to go to school right out of high school. I’m going to keep pushing through but could use some advise. I’m really upset about having to withdraw. Thank you for sharing and God Bless You 🙏🏼💕🦋 stay safe!
If so - I can chat with you! I’m going through their application process right now, and I’ve taken 2 years of pre reqs prior and I’ve retaken classes. Happens to the best of us.
I'm an Australian Nursing student and I failed my introductory anatomy class first year. It really shocked my system and upset me however it taught me different ways of learning and how i learn best. I really found crash course on youtube helpful. The best advice i have for nursing school is finding your style of learning (visual, audio, reading etc)
On my first ever day of clinical I slept through my alarm and woke up 15 minutes before I had to be at the site I was going to, it was the worst first day ever.😅 Thankfully after that I’ve always set multiple alarms on both mine and my boyfriends phones but I always wake up 10-20 minutes before the alarm now anyways 😂
Can you put the link for your mask? Super cute. I’ve been watching your videos right before you got into nursing school. I am graduating PA school next month :) wish it wasn’t under these circumstances as we are not having a graduation but still exciting! Good luck to you in everything you do.
Honestly filling out all those med sheets did not help me, I swear it’s just busy work. I ended up naturally memorizing the medications I mostly use on my floor once I started working just because I used them repeatedly. And so are those care plans, all busy work, the computer suggests care plans for you AND at my job they don’t even have us do them, the Unit managers like to pick them out. Nursing school was horrible, keep it up though, actually working in the field is so much better than school. I’m still trying to decide if I’m going back for my nurse practitioner because RN school was truly traumatic lol
I think I see you have the same text books that our program uses(Pearson)! Is your program concept based? If so, how do you like it? I was nervous about doing a concept based program!
