I'm 21 yrs young
-What type of program are you in & how long is it?
I am currently enrolled in an ADN (Associate in Nursing) at my state college & the program is a total of 2 yrs. At the end of 2nd semester(December 2020) I will begin taking my BSN (Bachelor in Nursing) courses so by the time I'm finished with my ADN, I will be more than halfway finished with my BSN.

3rd semester, there are 4 semesters total! I'm almost there!

I find that writing out notes and studying it helps me out a lot and yes picnomic is a very useful tool as well as practice questions thank you for this video and yes I make flash cards for any definitions I am unsure of , I am currently in my third year in med surge thank you for this video ❤️.

your study tips and the things that you do like color coding and the flash card have really helped me in nursing school. Just the fact by me writing things down and lookin at it really helps. Now i still like to write things down on paper and take notes on paper but that just me. But all of your other study tools have really helped me out a lot.

I love your videos, I start nursing fall 2021, and I registered for fundamentals, microbiology, and math dosage. I heard some students say I shouldn’t take microbiology with any of my nursing courses and I heard others say it’s doable. I didn’t want to take it in the summer because it’s a much faster pace. I don’t want to be barking up the wrong tree, so what is your advice?

How long does it typically take to go from an ADN to BSN? Can you do a video on why you decided to go the ADN route first?

If u go the ADN route that is 2 years. To go from ADN to BSN that program which is called a bridge program is 1 year. So it would take a total of 3 years if u start the ADN to BSN route

Hey, usually for the nursing program classes are already planned out for you & each schools program layout is different. However, if you have the choice of how many classes you can take in the semester, to each is own. Not everyone’s lifestyle & stress management is the same, I try to stress this a lot here on my channel 💕 of course the more you take at once, the more difficult it is because your juggling more.

Watch a video first. Then see what the main idea is before your lecture. During your lecture try to identify in your mind if they touched on the same points in the video. After lecturers read the lecture slides. Use the lecture slides as the base for your knowledge because this is the key information. Everything else from the text is just added details. At my nursing school if you read the text then you're likely to get a higher grade because the exam is limited to the information in the text so the more you know, the better. Start by formulating everything into a question as you read and take notes. This helps formulate understanding of the material, as well as it helps when you have to review for active recall. Don't take notes on things you already remember! After you've watched the video, went to lecture, read the PowerPoint, read the text you should know quite a bit! Therefore it helps cut down on the amount of notes you would have to write
