I graduated from an Associates Degree in Nursing in December, 2018 at the age of 58 years old. It took me a good year to learn how nursing works in a hospital before I was feeling comfortable and confident. When Covid began, I went back to school and got my bachelors in nursing. In my second year of being a nurse, I won Nurse of the Unit and was commended for this by the United States Senate. Unknown to me, I was placed on a recruiting database and got offers from some of the best hospitals in the world. I now work for Mayo Clinic in their float pool unit. I am in a graduate degree program for Family Nurse Practitioner. I gave up my retirement and pension with the state of New Mexico to go to nursing school and never looked back. It was hard, and there were dark days but I never gave up. You can do it too if that's your purpose. It's well worth it. Keep going and don't stress about anything. Just keep going and do your best!

Just finished my associates in spring and I am starting my ABSN next week. I’m excited but also scared. Reading your story makes me smile and know this is possible!!! Thank you for being here, for sharing your journey with another dreamer. I will come back in a year and a half to say “I did it too!”😊

Just passed NCLEX-RN with 87 questions last week. Thank you for all the great tips and study guides over the years, Nurse Sarah! As for the studying method, I created a chart with BP HR RR GI Urine Hepa Meta Nerve and MSK and either wrote UP or DOWN with (common S&S) and [Priority Nursing Interventions related to column]. I found out that making the chart helped me memorize the keywords, so I rarely had to go back and study them again many months later. Good luck to all the nursing students. You got this!

These are great tips. I have use some of them when I was taking A+P. Before reading a chapter it is good first read the summary. It will give an idea of what the chapter is about and also focus on tables, pictures, and bolded words. After reading a chapter I would take notes and then watch videos on the subject.

I really appreciate your hard work. I am an internationally graduated pharmacist preparing for the licensing exam in Canada and have honestly learned a lot from your channel for the last 4-6 months. I could pass my first exam out of three on my first attempt using some of the educational materials you posted on your channel. God bless you and Keep up the good work.

This is helpful, but our syllabi are ever changing as well as our books, find out what we are doing the day of the class . Also no dates to when the exams are actually supposed to be, and as far as class everything is free game in the book. If anyone has suggestions on how to navigate this I would be grateful!!
