Ah, the life of a fisherwoman. Welcome to Nusfjord, where you pay for just about everything with.... fish - even share dividends in your fishing company. The decisions you make in this easy to set up Uwe Rosenburg game are limited (only 3 workers!!) and timing is crucial. One of our favourite games for packing a euro punch into a fast, balanced & highly competitive 2 player game. Also, we love fishing.

Thanks for the recommendation for this game. Nice review! I typically like Uwe Rosenberg games (although I've only played a few). This one looks great (nice & quick but has depth) & glad to hear it's good with 2 players. Cheers!

You're so welcome Bill! Glad it appealed to you. Yes when Uwe gets it right he really gets it right!!! We are a big fan of his as well. Although Maggie vowed on a live stream to play all of his games this year. Before finding out there were hundreds. And so far she's played.... 1 new one. So it's not looking good. 🤣

Thanks ladies, I really needed this today. In the US it is Election day, and RU-vid and your video is helping me skip some of the drama. I voted early. I skipped over this game a few years ago but watching your review it looks great, very interesting choices. I am not a fan of games with lots of negative points, but can get past that if I can finish game with enough points to be a positive score when done. Thanks for video.

We are glad we could provide some distraction, even if for a few minutes. There are not too many negative points in this game, it's more a mild annoyance than a stressful key element like in Feast. Stay safe and well today.

I love this game as well! If somebody asked me for the most underrated game I always come back to this. I mean a BGG 7.6 is surely not bad, but considering how well Uwe managed to squeeze the quintessence of a tight worker placement with huge variety into a 45 minute game with 2 players is simply brilliant.

This one was high on my radar due to its popularity in the solo world, but to hear it's also fantastic at 2 just sold me on it! Fingers crossed for Black Friday deals. 😊

It's a good one because the set up is so quick which can be a real barrier when thinking about getting a whole euro out when it's just Maggie and I. It is a good tight little battle... and Maggie plays it lots solo but more on that soon!!! ☺

hey gals! congrats on your video. I came here from BGG. Great job! I'm curious to know though why the constant comparison with Grand Austria Hotel? they are very different games, although I would say that GAH can be even more tense because you are always restricted by only fulfilling 2 actions, and that prestige track can be a pain! That said though, I love Nusfjord. I also mostly play at 2 with my partner and this is one of our top Uwe's. This and Glassroad are a treat to play because they play so quick and always leave you feeling that you needed one more round to accomplish all your dreams :) A feast for odin is one that I mostly play solo because my partner doesn't enjoy as much :/ Looking forward to seeing more of your videos :)

Hi Nain, thank you for the lovely feedback! Yes we completely agree that GAH is a very different game but it often gets referenced as one of the best/better 2 player euros. We like the game, but don't find it to be as tense or usually as close as Nusfjord. We LOVE feast for odin ☺ welcome to our channel we are happy to have you here! Thanks for the video. This reminds me that I still haven’t played with the Plaice Deck... Plus, I had no idea that there is a Salmon Deck coming out! Who knew you would enjoy a game about fishing... 😂🤣😂 I think the fisheeples (? - sounds like fish sheep), uhhhhh fishples (? - sounds even worse) are cute too.

Great video! I really like how you both approach games, and greatly enjoy your channel. I own this game and like it a lot. Have you played any of the other lesser known Uwe games? Any recommendations from among them? I think I've played many of the more famous, but have not otherwise branched out.

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback and glad you liked this video. We have been playing Fields of Arle recently but otherwise we have a backlog of more obscure Uwe to try! Maggie is a huge fan and pledged to try most of his main titles this year but that was before she realised just how many there are... (and we are in Feb and so far only 1 LOL)

That game seems interesting. Some of the art on the cards looks a little undercooked, but mechanically it catches my interest.

Had the same thought. Very drawn to this game but the art (and lack thereof) puts me off. I will pick it up if I find it at a great price though.

Do you also catch crocodiles in this game? Thought I spotted Crocodile Dundee on the board 😜 Have you played Fields of Arle and if so how does this compare to it? I already have Fields of Arle so wondering if this is different enough to add to my Uwe Rosenberg collection.

Do you ever play Nusfjord solo? On BGG it's considered a good solo game, but curious of you've given it a try. It's on my "maybe" list - since I mostly play solo.
